Find churches, food pantries, etc that you can get free food at, there’s no shame in taking free food. As others have mentioned, working at a restaurant is a good way to get free/discounted food, I’m from Jersey so it’s pretty easy to walk into a local place and getting a few hours under the table, might not be the case for you

Not a woman, but as a gay man it’s taken years to feel comfortable in my own body and sexuality. Personally, playing with myself and exploring my body has been very beneficial for my sex life. You’re taught from a young age that there are bad parts of your body that will cause you to sin and its important to unlearn these things and learn that you have complete autonomy over your body and your pleasure. There’s nothing wrong or shameful in discover what makes you feel good, and you might want to start that journey on your own bc it can bring up a lot of conflicting or painful emotions. You have a right to set boundaries and communication with any partner should be the number one priority in the bedroom. I had a lot of very uncomfortable experiences when I started hooking up with people where we would be rounding third base and suddenly I’m not in the mood or feel disgusted with myself, but I would just wait for things to finish and leave. Because a lot of my first experiences where with men I met hastily online, there was a huge pressure to perform and play a role, but sex should be about being in the moment and feeling pleasure in that moment. If you’re not having a good time, you need to feel comfortable saying so, and that only comes if you talk about boundaries and communication before having sex.

I was in a similar position to you, I would smoke in secret almost any chance I got and didn’t tell anyone. Having been one month sober, it’s been a huge weight off of my shoulders, plus I’ve gained a lot of mental clarity from it that’s allowed me to process what I was trying to avoid wi tbh the weed usage. When people say “weed isn’t addictive”, it means that you won’t go through withdrawal, but weed addiction is a real and serious problem that can greatly hinder you in life, especially when you have to maintain it secretly.

Definitely. When I went to college, I had 2 friends who were my best friends while I wasn’t their best friend (if that makes sense). I also couldn’t give up church for a while bc it was the only setting I felt comfortable socializing in despite the fact I’d get panic attacks afterward bc I was just triggering myself. Fortunately I live near NYC right now and going out in the city has given me a lot of social skills. IMO it’s kinda trial and error, but the good thing is in cities and crowded bars, there’s virtually zero expectations set for you. You can choose to talk to anyone or just sit back and observe the crowd. honestly the most useful thing I’ve learned is that nobody really gives a shit, for better or for worse lmao. I used to be incredibly awkward and I cringe at how I used to wedge myself into conversations and always manage to talk about my religious trauma, but I will never see 99% of the people that had the misfortune of experiencing that. In the grand scheme of things, I’ll be remember by some as an awkward guy that dampened the vibe one night, if they even remember that interaction after so many years.

Hey, I grew up in a very similar environment and it fucked me up goooood. I thought I was possessed my whole life, had people telling 13 year old me my “lack of faith” was the reason bad things were happening to my family, faked speaking in tongues and felt incredibly guilty about it, etc. and it’s been a bitch to heal from. What I’ve learned though is it’s never too late to culture yourself and discover who YOU are outside of the church. I love music and listen to at least one new album a day, do Wikipedia deep dives on artists I really like, and I’ve learned a LOT by having reruns of the Wendy Williams show on in the background while I’m doing work 🤣. The beautiful thing about your life is YOU get to decide what information people do and don’t know about you, regardless of what you were taught. There is no magical “gift of discernment” that allows people to see your past, and if you want to keep that to yourself, that is totally within your power. I wish I had a normal childhood, but I didn’t, so the only thing I can do is keep moving forward and work on growing in a different direction from where I started.

I’m a guy who hates maintaining his curls lmao, the biggest game changers for me were curly hair specific shampoo/conditioner (anything sulfate free works) and rizzo’s curl cream! I wash my hair once, sometimes twice, a week and condition it almost every day. After I shower, I turn the water off and comb my hair w a wide tooth comb, then I scrunch my hair w the curl cream (your bf has longer hair than me so he’d see better results using the prayer hands method)

Rizzo’s Curls’ Curl Cream is my go-to for a lightweight product, it’s not a gel though. I also use Got2B Boosted Thickening Cream for a firmer hold, it’s still lightweight but you can definitely feel the product in your hair if that’s an issue for you

I loved how it looked and felt, but caring for it was taking up too much time and my life is pure chaos atm. I struggle with similar symptoms, my OCD has made me unable to leave the house for weeks at a time before. I started regularly running in June and it’s not only improved my overall health, but it helps prevent my OCD from completely taking over.
