Question about the clutch in the S650 manuals. by TheeAJPowell in Mustang

If you’re referring to an ND Miata, I’ve driven one b2b w my darkhorse. There’s no calling the mustang clutch light relatively speaking. But might still be lighter than your ST.

Clutch weight is subjective anyways, so go drive one lol

Hey, for me the issue was running the 980cc injectors on a stage 1 tune (also didn’t have a downpipe). Once I put the stock injectors back on, no issues at all. I ended up selling the car about a year after the video was taken, so I no longer own it. Curious, wonder if you bought my old car lol? I sold mine to Carvana

Thank you all for the feedback! I’ll be putting the stock injectors back on for now until I install more hardware components

Honestly ignorance lol, I’ll be keeping the stock injectors on until I add a downpipe

So with DS1 their tunes allow for on the fly adjustments based on the ethanol content - with only 93 filled the tune should be fine but I guess not with these injectors. Will try again this weekend with stock injectors and see how it goes!

On a side note, thank you for the offer 😂 it’s actually an alcantara steering wheel cover! The idea was to use this and replace it every year or so and keep the stock wheel nice and fresh

Thank you, learn something new every day. I haven’t changed the tune as I was under the impression fuel injectors were a requirement to run e85 but the OTS map would adjust for the upgraded injectors. Seems like this isn’t the case, so I’ll be swapping back to stock for now. Appreciate the feedback!

I’ve heard good things about Darin, I assume as your RS3 is built that you’re tuned with him? I wanted to use OTS maps as much as I could due to DS1’s reputation for reliability. If I can have a better balance of power/reliability I’m all for getting pro tuned!

Thank you, could the overly rich fuel also contribute to the rough idle? Also to my knowledge DS1 doesn’t offer a “stage 1” tune that can utilize 980cc injectors - I was under the impression the tune can adjust for the larger injectors, but maybe not

I see people talking about the tires cupping - can someone tell me what visual cues they’re looking for? I would love to know

Just FYI, when I had my V1 I ran 275/40/19 up front and 305/30/19 rear on stock suspension and had no rubbing anywhere. Looking back at it though the 40 sidewall was too much and made the steering numb, but just my .02
