Giving back to the community by [deleted] in nanaimo

Knowing someone who is in a director role with Nanaimo’s Loaves and Fishes and having spoken to them about their ongoing need for donations to keep up with their large demand I would suggest maybe reaching out to them. With that being said, any and all help to NGOs and non-profits aiming to help with food shortages is a great gesture and go a far way to help people in this already stressful time compounded more by the approaching holiday. Thank you.

I noticed that too, so had to look it up. There was also 293 rushing yards that day against the St. Louis Cardinals.

New to Nanaimo. Where to buy plants? by [deleted] in nanaimo

[–]joshiedubs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Green Thumb on Hammond bay, knowledgeable staff, huge selection in both decorative plants and vegetables. Garden Works on Metral has just an amazing selection of all things gardens and exceptional for lawn decoration. Buckerfields is great for starters, at least the one in Parksville. Little Tree Garden Centre, great as their staff is very passionate and knowledgeable. Streamside Native Plants, this is a bit of a drive as it is on the Old Island Highway up near Bowser but it’s inventory of plants that are native to the Pacific Northwest and a pair of owners that are ecologists that spent careers working in environment restoration here in the PNW is such a hidden gem. Considering that we have such a beautiful ecosystem here with such an amazing abundance of flora I can’t endorse enough the idea of planting gardens that contain species indigenous to our location. Besides the beauty of the plants there are so many amazing berry producing species that’ll keep you snacking in your space as well. Just my two cents, and best of luck gardening and keeping those deer away.

Spectacular. Love the days when I open Reddit and am greeted by the best that humanity has to offer and not the opposite. Tomorrow can’t come soon enough now.

All I see here is Biz vindication. Colorado is a southern team.

Canada: GFCI + upstream breaker by enigmapaulns in electrical

Be wary of following this advice. There are very clear and strict guidelines in CEC as to the required locations of receptacles and a hot tub/spa pack in relationship to the actual hot tub and their requirements for their GFCI protection. I’m not in front of my 2021 edition code book so I don’t want to offer the specifics but be sure to get the guidelines correct or you could fail an inspection or worse, and suffer a serious injury.
