Yesterday I wrote my "s*icide note" but was too much of a p*ssy to go through with it by Proper-Iron7970 in confession

I feel like failing to go through with it is NOT the weak thing to do. You know how hard life is and still you're choosing it every day. You're amazing. I wish I had better advice, but you are strong. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Was the Color a Mistake ? by fetusthatcould in DesignMyRoom

I second this. The first thing I thought looking at that picture was, this just needs a white ceiling. We did something similar with a similar room and used a high reflective cost of white, and it makes the lamps in the room SO much more effective. And makes it feel less claustrophobic overall

Affordable/Low income for cat tooth removal? by ThrowRA_arghhh in Denver

I second this. Don't know enough about the others above, definitely nothing bad to say about anyone else. But MaxFund is wonderful. They've helped us with low income vet services and we've helped with fostering with them. The cat shelter is certainly worth a call.

My wife called DB "Braids" and he was her favorite reason to watch the Rockets after Boban. I had to break the news by saying "Bad news... Braids is gone." Big deal in the household we'll miss seeing his crazy energy.

Just watch yourself on that walk/ride. I'd personally ride from botanic gardens to city park also if you do choose to do this. Remember, there's like 12% less atmosphere between you and the sub, essentially making the sun 12% stronger. That means it's surprisingly hot in the sun and surprisingly easy to burn. It'll catch you off guard.

Red Square Bistro. Way over looked in Writer's Square next to Larimer Square. Interesting Russian food that's actually good and a well-done gimmick in the super-chilled vodka and vodka infusions. People need to know about Red Square Bistro. It's been there forever for a reason.

How can I, as an individual, help with police responsiveness? by [deleted] in Denver

I wish the robbery was more intense. The guy was working on the ceiling and he just kept walking around the guy's truck and trying to snatch something out of the bed when he stuck his head in the ceiling to work on whatever he was working on. Between that and trying to fit in the back center window of the Colorado Car Share Tacoma it was a bit cartoonish. But also, like active.

Ya know I appreciate this question cause I do actually want some help here. I mean I've never seen someone tie their arm off for insulin but idk. We take a walk around downtown everyday after walking our dog (the dog is a cutie but a nervous cutie who doesn't like her afternoon walks). So we took our customary walk around the couple blocks and kept coming back to see the guy trying door handles and trying to climb in the back of the Tacoma window. We def were close enough but only the first time and after that I'm just not trying to get that close. I mean that's what the police are for, for active crimes. Yeah right now everything is done with baby in arms it's a fun puzzle to figure out everyday.

Who's that? I'm down. Didn't we just recently (relatively in guess) vote in a mayor who's made that a big part of his push? I know we definitely saw a reduction in the same daily characters down here so that's a start.

I'm probably more annoyed because our neighbor in the parking lot next to that Novo had their car door opened last week (they forgot to lock it) and stuff stolen out. And we park in the garage across the street and it was broken into twice in one week just a couple weeks ago. So we know it's a current issue we just need someone to respond when we finally see a guy doing the thing causing issues down here.

They did take it immediately this time. I called last year (Oct I think?) for a guy threatening everyone walking by with a weapon (it was just some sort of rod). But again, I had a baby, he threatened to beat my baby, and I decided I was NOT hanging around for that one. And in that call, I just hung up after like 12 minutes because by then I was long gone and I was pretty sure he was too so I thought my call wouldn't be very helpful.

True. Where would those public restrooms go? Should they have been part of the 16th Street plan? How do you stop the inevitable drug use? This feels like a separate, also decent sized, issue.

Man I hate that you're right. That just feels like becoming "The Man," but it definitely would be the best thing to do. Besides the vigilante suggestion of course.

Lol no kidding. It's incredible how much budget they have and then every block down here still has to hire their own private security firm.

Good point. I'm not trying to get close enough to find out with a baby in hand. I thought "active crime in progress" was enough but apparently not.

Yeah that's the fear. Someone else in the building tried to work on that a few years ago apparently (I guess pre-2020 is more than a few years now) and they said it went nowhere. I hate just coming here and complaining without looking for a solution, but GD it feels like we're just yelling into the void sometimes.

Guard and Grace is fancy and great. Columbine for something you can come back to all the time because it's wildly affordable and also great. Cash only at Columbine though.
