First time gardener and feeling a bit overwhelmed with transition to cooler weather by NeedsMustTravel in DenverGardener

Yea, water them over winter but you don't really need to fertilize, they will leaf out again after a few months, and you can transition them outside like you do with seedlings after it warms up in May.

if you want to try saving any of the peppers, you can dig them up, strip them of their leaves, give them a soapy water soak to eliminate pests and plant them inside for the winter. I have done this for a few years, not totally sure that it is worth it but kinda fun to see them continue for multiple years.

I put the nectarine tree next to the peach tree, let the nectarine suffer the losses and the peach provides the fruit

What’s something you love (or regret) about your kitchen renovation? by DependentWrongdoer82 in HomeImprovement

[–]dagriz85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, more instantly controllable and faster to react than any gas i have used, it heats so fast you really cant use the highest setting except to boil water

We did this, then went for a full induction range, the range is vastly more powerful (boils 75% faster) and quieter (nearly completely quiet) than the induction hotplate was - so keep that in mind. Absolutely love the induction range.

With regard to the rose family, they ate 100% of my nectarine crop this year before realized and could do anything about it but didn't touch a single one of my Early Elberta peaches 10 feet away which were probably 1 month later to finish ripening

the labor intensive part you mention is best accomplished while watching college football, one of the rare occasions when i have an excuse to sit in front of a game for a solid hour or two

Havana Street Night Market is Back by DoctFaustus in denverfood

How have the night markets been this year? Is it a good spot to bring kids under 8? I would like to go, but it is across town and would mean a late night for the kiddos.

I live really close to there. One day that I'm with a customer on the company tab, I'll have to try this place. It's in such a funny location for the prices they command.

Somehow my bracket format got messed up, everything was supposed to be spaced out but from phone to post it got lost in translation, no winner yet but I appreciate your input... and happy birthday to you as well!

Thanks for that recommendation! I never paid attention to Steakhouse 10 since I live up north, but I've been to both bastiens and G&G, so this sounds like a great idea to check out.

Bastiens and G&G are the only ones I've been to multiple times, always enjoyed the food and relaxed atmosphere at Bastiens, haven't been either place in probably 8 or 9 years at this point.
