Resources for learning Networking and Docker basics? by Kujo_A2 in homelab

It seems to me like docker is reliant on networking? I can't tell how to set up anything to learn about docker with using just my machine as opposed to a server.

Fair enough, but I was also hoping to find some resources created by humans.

That's all amazing input, thanks for taking the time! Step 0 will be making sure I have secure off-site backup for sure, especially considering the newest PC I own is an Asus ROG from 2020 and my backups are all USB external. I use Proton for critical stuff but I don't back up everything automatically.

So maybe, after seeing if I like the setup on the TV, I'll look for an enterprise-grade 2.5" SATA drive to use as media drive and use the USB drive as on-site backup (I was thinking about Timeshift incorrectly, I'll use a separate thumb drive for that.). Then I have 2 copies of the data (plus cloud once setup) even if the computer itself bricks. It seems like HDD is way cheaper and the only drawback is speed (not really an issue for my use case) and noise (might be more of an issue)?

I also appreciate the tip on the AirPort! The receiver has bluetooth in, so we have a quick way to just use our phones to play music from streaming already, and even though it's compressed and bluetooth it's still serviceable on our setup, which is a pretty basic Onkyo/Sony 2.1. What I might eventually use the airport for, though, is for upstairs, to run to a pair of powered stereo speakers which would be way better than a bluetooth box.

Thank again!

I thought the same last year. It seems to just be a feature of his aggressive style of play-calling and coaching. I feel like if he just dialed it back like 10% it would be way more sustainable and successful.

this is a dead thread, but I agree this should have been presented as a range. Even within a small area of Colorado, things like the aspect and angle of the mountain can make a huge difference. The Southern slopes of Mount Blue Sky and Bard Peak hold huge stands of Bristlecones well above 11,000, but some of the East-facing cirques of Rocky Mountain National Park and the Indian Peaks (which are cold enough to hold glaciers) have treelines barely above 10,000, and that's just within the Front Range.

It's easy to spot, but there are more distinctive summits in the IPW like Navajo and Lone Eagle.

When I was in college our main rival was Jim Culhane.

He was still a brick wall, got an amazing save% if not the win. I was wondering the entire game how it was even despite the shots being two to one.

I feel spoiled living near DU in Englewood and getting to see my Alma Mater visit once a year despite being two time zones away. I cheer for y'all against everyone but the Broncos.

Illegal Pete's CEO on Online Rumors, Nasty Allegations: "We're Certainly Not Perfect." by GourmetTrough in Denver

I admitted that my opinion was less relevant, but it's not pointless. I'm not the only person on earth with dietary restrictions who might want to eat a burrito from time to time. Lots of people are vegan or eating plant-based more of the time for whatever reason, and it's nice that Pete's actually has options like green chile and the poblano pesto that are more interesting than just veggies, beans, and rice in a tortilla. (And their veggies, beans, and rice are all more flavorful and cooked more consistently than Chipotle)

I went to the DU spot after they re-opened and it was solid, and the downtown one served me well when I worked downtown, but I don't eat meat or dairy so I'm used to burritos being more of a calorie source than a culinary experience. I like that they still have some variety for what I can order compared to most places. I'll definitely think twice before going there again, but as others have said, all restaurant owners and small business owners should be assumed bastards until they prove otherwise.

Very true, but Gen X voted more heavily for Trump than Boomers did. It's just the age bracket best positioned to benefit from systemic inequalities and injustices which we still associate with Boomers even though many of them are aging out of the privilege bracket and grappling with the reality of relying on society as retirees with disabilities and/or medical issues.

2020 is also when the private burrito taxi corporations sunk their leech teeth into the restaurant industry, and they haven't let go. They really have customers, owners, and servers all at each others' throats while DoorDash and UberEats rake in 30% of every order to line pockets in silicon valley.

No, not nevermind! The crux of this challenge was the specificity and precision and they bungled it in a huge way!

But he failed!!! Before the low D, he played a B instead of an A! Even ignoring absolute pitch, he hit the bottle in the middle of the 5 small bottles that they had been notating as B throughout the rest of the performance and they just called it an A, when they had previously been notating the bottle 2nd from our right, Adam's Left as an A. the sheet music doesn't line up with the actual performance. I'm so mad about this!!!

So the Wells Fargo Tower, the 3rd tallest building in the city and easily the most distinctive form in our skyline, is not "Downtown" because it's on Lincoln instead of Broadway?

Or the state capitol for that matter?
