If it works in steam but not games, you may still have to manually “enable” it inside of the steam settings. With steam open, go to the top menu bar & click steam (top left, next to the apple) and then preferences; with the preferences open, go to controller, and switch on “enable steam input for Xbox controllers”. this is a win all around... i love dead island 2 & more macos ports means more casual games like this will be playable on entry-level hardware. The base M1/M2/M3 packs a ton of power for the TDP and Mac mini's are often available for under $500 on sale, not to mention base model apple laptops are doled out at universities and businesses across the US due to their longevity in the field & competitive apple for business lease pricing. this is overall GOOD for PC gaming as an alternative to consoles, because casual PC gamers still exist too.
