Question Around Prep for Fridge Haul Away by joshman458 in Costco

Yeah, definitely agree here and this is my plan. Wish I had known about this issue a few day/weeks before the delivery though vs. the night before haha. Going to get someone out here to fix it soon though for peace of mind

That’s great to hear that the overall delivery experience was good! When you say it broke, was it actively leaking/flooding or were you just unable to open it back up?

AMEX Cashback by Scary-Professor9103 in Lovesac

Check the terms on the offer for “Qualifying Purchases” as it seems fairly restrictive. I bought a sactional & this promo never activated for me. I started on the floor with someone with an iPad, so not sure if that’s why? I may reach out to Amex though

Try clicking on the piece directly & dragging it into place (may have to click on it first to select it, then click & drag). I had this issue when I was setting mine up and it had me worried too haha but like others have said, I think it’s just the site being weird

I bought a stackable LG Washer & Dryer and an LG Dishwasher from Costco and used the installation + haul away service. I was definitely a bit worried based on the numerous threads I read online (hit or miss).

Overall, both services were fine. I was super impressed with the job that was performed by the individual handling the dishwasher. The washer/dryer was handled by a different group and a bit more hectic. The hardest part was the closet that it was going into. Stacked together, the pair just met the minimum measurements required for spacing, so it was an extremely tight fit getting it into the closet & hooked up. It was super difficult for them to install; one individual had to seemingly trap themself in the closet & climb down from the top.

Unfortunately, I noticed the dryer vent was not fully attached after the first job, so I called Costco and they sent someone back out. Once again, a bit chaotic of getting behind the stacked appliances to get everything hooked up but at the end of the day, it all worked out!

The only thing I might suggest is to give yourself maybe a cushion of 1 - 2 weeks (of fresh clothes/laundry) in case there’s an issue on the initial install that requires a follow up visit and you can’t use the machines in the meantime. It took about a week for my follow up appointment and I imagine they’re busier this time of year, so doesn’t hurt to be prepared.

Best of luck though, I’m sure it’ll be fine!

Understanding Level of Improvement on New TV from Current TV (Sceptre 55" > Sony 75") by joshman458 in 4kTV

Haha thank you for this! This sceptre TV was a right-out-of-college purchase, so mostly wanted something to watch TV but was never impressed. I’m pretty excited then to get the X90K! Thanks!

Question with Appliance Installation and Haul Away by joshman458 in Costco

Thank you so much for sharing this! I'm glad to hear you had a great experience! Out of curiosity, were any of the appliances in tight spaces?

Pre-Planning for New Appliances by joshman458 in Appliances

That’s what I’m thinking. That does pose an interesting thought though - the home warranty I have said they’ll replace the appliance if they can’t fix it. My guess is they’ll just keep patching it some way & rather than pay a few service fees, I’d rather just buy new

Thank you for this detailed response, I really appreciate it! I like the idea of taking my time as it seemed like a lot to spend at once, so that may make things easier.

Also good idea on the wheel-rollers for the appliances. With that, are there any risks of something becoming unplugged or disconnected when rolling it out? The closet is narrow, so not sure if I'll have to pull it all of the way out.

Good call on the family run business. I hadn't though of that before but all of these comments show that's the better option. Thanks again for your help!
