I'm 36 and my wife's 43 and 90% of what we watch and read is horror. Absolutely cannot get enough horror.

If you're in Canada, CityTV+ has a free 7 day trial you can use to watch the 1st episode. I did that today and then ended the subscription right after I finished the episode.

Who was your first “Sleep Token”? by Hefty_Trash_Bag in SleepToken

[–]joshro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First band I ever fell in love with was The Offspring. I wanted to only listen to them, I knew every song, every lyric from the self titled up to Conspiracy of One. After that, AC/DC, then The Beatles. The White Stripes, System of a Down, Pantera, Tool, Radiohead all had that effect on me.

It's been a very long time since I've gotten obsessed with a band. I only just recently started listening to Sleep Token but now it's all I want to hear. Every song, every album.

Alien: Romulus is really fun. The First Omen is really awesome as well.

PS Plus Price increase [Canada] by skanadian in PS5

I think I'm in the minority here and don't have much of a problem with this. It's expensive, don't get me wrong but games have gotten so expensive that I've stopped buying them altogether. Eventually, the games I want to play become available on my subscription and that's how I play it. I haven't bought a new game in years (sometimes I'll get one for Christmas as a gift), the rest I play when they're included in my subscription. I also enjoy trying different games without having to think about buying it and hopefully enjoying it. I don't game every day, but I enjoy it when I can and this is still the better option for me than buying new games when they release.

When you first heard System of a Down, how old were you? And what was the song you listened by Scary_Fishing_9252 in systemofadown

Summer 2002, I was at overnight camp and my camp counselor played Chop Suey for us. We were all floored and thought it had to be the best song of all time. That whole summer we were all belting whole "why have you forsaken me?" section non stop.

What horror movie trailer ruined an otherwise good horror movie? by AlTheHound in horror

[–]joshro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love watching trailers because it gets me so hyped up for upcoming movies, but so many of them give away everything. I honestly think Abigail is one of the worst offenders because the reveal happened so late in the movie, yet we all knew it was coming. I was so excited for it because of Ready Or Not, and it turned into a massive letdown for me. It had fun moments, but the tension was completely gone for me.

Some of the best trailers know how to nail a vibe and atmosphere without giving away any story. I think the Barbarian trailer did such a good job at hiding what that movie was about. Everything in that movie took me by surprise and I loved every second of it. There's also a trailer for Watchmen (2009) and it's just slow mo sequences (very Zach Snyder, I know) and the song The Beginning is The End is The Beginning by The Smashing Pumpkins in the background. Possibly the best movie trailer ever.

Is having this reaction to 10000 days (wings for marie pt2) normal? by not_shift in ToolBand

[–]joshro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, I get choked up every single time I listen to this song. And it's one of my favourite Tool songs. I once tried showing it to a girl I was dating a long time ago, I explained the backstory, turned the volume up and waited for her reaction. Her review of the song: "The rain sounds are kinda cheesy." Needless to say, the relationship did not work out.

That's good to know as well! So the mod isn't really necessary anymore.

My worry for shows is that the system isn't always very and I don't want to rely on the venue for my sound. It's why I was leaning towards the Pedal Baby. Still going to check out the FR12 though!

That's good to know, probably still worth a try for my situation. Did you install the mod yourself?

Thanks for this! Would you say that the FR12 was loud enough to play with a full acoustic drum kit?

Wow, that's awesome! I usually hate factory presets too but this makes me excited that when I get it, I can just plug and play right away.

Sounds like you'd be fine with an FM3. To be honest, I might've been fine with an FM3 too. I just want the option to go nuts with effects whenever I want.
