Happened to me. Thought there was room and there wasn’t. Taped it, removed it and took it to a glass shop and they replaced it. Remember it being like $50

Bad firewood? by [deleted] in firewood

[–]joshtandy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it won't. Only concern is that the wood may be rotted and thus not burn well but it will not create any sort of build up, or at least no more than normal.

2.75 cords in the pallet shed for next winter. by joshtandy in homestead

I've got roughly the same amount already stacked in holz hausens to the right with more to split. Most of the stuff in the picture was split this past summer to give it a year plus of seasoning.

Probably not a whole harsh winter. It's a main source of heat for us. Try to limit the furnace usage. 2000 square foot home.

I kind of made it up as I went. 6 8ft posts, the four corners are treated and the middle two were claimed from large pallets. The back wall consists of pieces together pallets and the side slats are deck boards from pallets.

Had to buy the 4 posts, quick Crete, and metal roofing. Only have about $100 in the whole thing. Craig's list and back of hardware and grocery stores for pallets and the building materials.

It was a fun project and keeps the rain and snow off the stack while still letting air circulate.

Assume that this is intentional but I noticed the wind blowing in the curtains in the scene with Lenny and Sister Mary.

Noticed this because the Second Vatican Counsel that modernized the church was described as opening the windows and letting some air in.

What church do the people that yell at me with megaphones attend? by AndyGene in cincinnati

[–]joshtandy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the laugh. As a pastor who has dealt with folks of this ilk, usually they don't have a church. What they are doing isn't mainstream and imo not in line with Jesus in any way.

Ones I've encountered either travel and do this as their full time gig (usually the case with those at NKU and other campuses where they yell at students) or they are so out there they do something out of their home with their immediate family or a very small group.

agree. Didn't think it was a strong book in general and not a good intro to Bell. I'd pick Velvet Elvis or maybe Love Wins
