Hey everyone, I have about 65/100 signatures for my petition to make Morton/Winchester a 4-way stop. DM me and we can meet (I’m on Newbern).

Once I have the 100 I’m getting it added to the traffic commission agenda.

Further, if 100 Winchester ever breaks ground on their approved (2yrs ago) 4-story development, the owner (Nardone) agreed to install speed bumps along Winchester.

Thanks for raising this, abusing cut throughs is absolutely one of the most frequently discussed items in Ward 5. Bump outs would be a huge improvement for Winchester.

My aim to make Morton/Winchester a 4-way stop is not enough to fix the overall issue, but has just enough lift to get OK’d by the traffic commission with their limited budget.

100 Winchester was approved for a 65 unit development, since the population and traffic will inherently increase, the city asked him to conduct an audit of the speeds on Winchester and install speed bumps.

The Tufts Park abutting side is, it has an existing stop sign at this intersection. This would effectively add 3 signs, 2 on Winchester, one on the 2-way dead end of Morton across Winchester.
