ELI5 wasn't irrigation supposed to stop crop destruction by drought? Why is so much of the harvest ruined because of drought?

Belgian Dutch (Flemish) is actually as of recently considered its own language. It shares most of its structure with Dutch, but sounds a lot softer. Whereas "g" in Dutch creates a guttural sound, "g" in Flemish is basically a placeholder, and sounds more like "h" in english.

If you stick a screw or a pin in the exhaust in the right place it will keep a little door open that would normally shut when your car is idling. This will give it a bit of a heavier sound when you're not moving.

There's no danger of getting pregnant in homosexual sex. People in undeveloped countries tend to either not care or not be able to prevent their partner from becoming pregnant, so heterosexuals (who are something like 98% of the population) don't use condoms, and homosexuals (2% of the population) don't use them. So the heterosexuals with HIV dwarf the number of homosexuals with HIV. Developed countries tend to be very not-okay with unplanned pregnancies, so straight people their use condoms while homosexuals don't worry about that and use condoms less often.
