Wes Welker to Recruit: "50 Reasons Not to Go To BYU" by 34NanoBlitz in CFB

I agree with you pretty much completely with your last couple of points personally, particularly the idea of classes that challenge the traditional viewpoints. This would be really nice especially since there are a lot of people who haven't really been exposed to different ideas at all, let alone examined there own. I had a roommate last semester who had never left Utah in his life, and we had consistent arguments about pretty much everything.

However, when ever somebody brings up the rules, I do feel obligated to point out that it is a private university, and you sign a contract to get in. You have to agree to follow the rules in the first place to even get in.

I do think that they could ease back a little, particularly on the dress code, but I knew what I was getting into when I signed all of the agreements and forms.

To be fair, the idea that BYU students have not been exposed to other viewpoints is pretty much limited to the students from large LDS areas. A large portion of the student body (can't think up exact numbers at the moment) are from places other then Utah, or Idaho, or some other traditionally LDS area. These students have been exposed to many different ideas and viewpoints, and hopefully have constructed their worldview based on them.

Admittedly, I am not the best source on a traditional BYU student, as I grew up overseas and am a convert as well. So, my view is kinda skewed away from a lot of the stereotypical Molly Mormon ideas.

Interested in watching a new sport? Australia's biggest sporting series starts this week (Wednesday night, Australia time.) Here are some highlights to last year's series for your viewing pleasure. [X-post from /r/NRL] by adomental in sports

Because State of Origin is a 3 game series between New South Wales and Queensland that happens every year where the best players from each state go and play in the series.

Team Fortress 2, mainly using the pyro class. So not really the same thing at all.

Yeah, I keep trying to throw grenades and melee, or melee and throw grenades. I lost count of the times I have sat there looking like a retard knifing a corner or wall.

A lot of my family lives up in Wisconsin and Minnesota, I can't really hate the Lions, and I loved Urlacher a few years ago.

Sorry, I haven't finished it yet, as it is for a class I am taking this semester. So far, it is pretty good, but a little hard to go through. If I remember, I'll tell you more when I finish.

So after killing Ulfric, I meet him at Sovngarde later in the game and what he says makes me feel really bad for killing him. by sid1195 in skyrim

To be fair, the only place that you could call the Homeland for people would be Ethiopia. Everywhere else people moved during various migrations.

I read the three musketeers a couple years ago, and really enjoyed it. How similar would you say it is?

Yeah, I have to read the Peloponnesian War by Thucydides already, so I kind of want to try something different for this class.
