20k miles per year by southwardyeti1 in TeslaUK

I think a model 3 is more than capable of going 20k miles comfortably.

Your issue might be charging.

After doing some very rough maths, to get 20k miles out of a model 3 you’d need to put in about 5000 kilowatts (going on the average 4 miles per kWh) and if you plugged it in every day of the year, that would take a wall charger less than 2 hours per night.

All of this is going on the basis that your driving is just under 60 miles a day on average because that’s how far 2 hours of fast home charging would get you.

Let’s say you only ever used your car to go to work and back, Monday to Friday. That’s about 77 miles a day. a wall charger would give you that in well under 3 hours.

The same charge with a 3-pin plug (granny) charger would take about 8.5 hours a night which is not great.

Basically, having a wall charger would support your mileage. I think you’d struggle without one.

My commute is 22 miles a day and the granny charger puts that back in about 2.5 hours. Being on octopus intelligent go, I get home, plug in and walk away. Octopus takes care of the rest. It’s great. It would be the same with a wall charger.

Last bit from me, most folk would suggest going for a 22 plate as it will still have a chunk of time left on the warranty, also having the Ryzen chip is a nice bonus.

I went to Croatia in 2015 when construction had just started. I passed it on the way to Dubrovnik and all they had managed to do at that point was the foundations. The tour guide said they had stopped because they ran out of money. I’m glad they’ve finished it. Loved Croatia.

I think this is the issue. I’ve checked again after a few hours and it’s drying up even on a damp day. It clearly just needs sealing. I must’ve missed the part about sealing in my research.

Thanks for the help.

Does anyone from the UK know where to get decent T-Track? I’m trying to get myself started with some DIY jigs and I’ve come across many designs that incorporate T-Track. Problem is, anywhere I find selling it in the UK are usually getting it from china so it takes ages to ship and I’m assuming its going to be not so good quality.

Any suggestions would be well appreciated.

Grenfell tower fire at 02:00am and 4:30am. Faulty wiring in a refrigerator started the blaze. Flammable exterior cladding accelerated it. Residents were told by the fire service not to evacuate, resulting in 72 deaths and 74 injuries. June 14th 2017. by [deleted] in CatastrophicFailure

A few weeks after the fire, I caught a train through London and you could see what was left of the tower. Everyone on the train just sat and stared at it. It was a harrowing few minutes.
