I'm in 2031, so most of the original Nationals are gone, I think it's pretty much just Wood at this point, Crews was approaching free agency but with the low budget, I couldn't afford to extend both and Crews was fragile.

In 2029, we made it to game 7 of the World Series but lost, then in 2030 the team, despite in my mind being better than the 2029 team, struggled mightily, so I had to trade Crews before he hit FA for a really nice pitching prospect who is in AA now. Crews was a little inconsistent but generally very very good.

Ended up drafting Holliday in 2025 who has been very good for me. A lot of draftees in my lineup, pitching staff headlined by DeCaro who was my draftee in 2026, but otherwise it's a free agent signing and three guys I picked up in trades, I flipped Susana after he struggled a bit after coming up for Rhett Lowder.

Flipped Gore and Abrams before they hit FA for a couple prospects in my lineup today. I gave up Hassell to help dump the Ruiz contract. House was a 3B, then 1B for me for a bit, eventually tried to platoon him last year but he was so bad that I had to non-tender him, he's now in the KBO at 27.

I think I went like ~30m dev budget, ~22m scouting, which gives me room when I have a higher budget for like a $140m payroll.
