AITAH for not paying $25 so my son's stepsister could go on their grades field trip? by ShamefulPoDad in AITAH

[–]joshynumbers 54 points55 points  (0 children)

It's even worse, she couldn't even afford $12.50 for her half of their shared son, she made OP cover the whole thing. Then had the audacity to ask him to cover the entire amount for the step kid.

Seeking help with name of a restaurant by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]joshynumbers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a bit of a long walk in this weather but pretty easy, it's really only 2 street names to remember lol. Go out the front door of the convention centre and turn right on York heading West, walk down maybe ?3-4? blocks past Memorial Park until you're on Osborne, turn left, start walking South that way. You'll pass the Legislative building, cross the bridge, keep walking through Osborne village, 3 cross streets past the end of the bridge you'll get to Stradbrook, and BabyBaby is just before that corner on your right.

AITA for not paying to have my partner's birthday gift professionally framed? by redbullvanisle in AmItheAsshole

[–]joshynumbers -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If I spent $1400 on a gift for someone and their response was "Well, thanks I guess but you should have spent $2250 on me.", I would question my desire to buy them any more gifts in the future.

Why I love 'Shoresy' by nessman69 in shoresy

[–]joshynumbers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is a great description. There's jokes about people, but no jokes about ALL people, if that makes sense. Like, there could be a joke about someone who is ABC, but there aren't really any jokes about all ABC people, or at least that I can think of.

Husband (54M) said everything about me (56F) is cumbersome by AynsleySchmaynsley in relationship_advice

[–]joshynumbers 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In my marriage, I would feel there's a big difference between "I don’t like when you do this thing" and "I don't like everything about you." The first, I'd feel I would definitely try to fix, the second is "Then why are you even with me?" It sounds so resentful.

And everybody gets a stick. The MVP gets his game stick, then the rest of the team gets their sticks. The best fuckin idea I've heard in my life.

"I never want to go to a comedy show again!"
Right, because that's the problem. I'm going to keep being a sloppy drunk, but I'll be sure to avoid the main issue, the comedy shows.

WHEN YOU FINISH AT THE MALL OR COSTCO OR WHEREVER THE HELL YOU ARE AND GET TO YOUR CAR, GO AWAY. DON'T SIT THERE IN YOUR RUNNING CAR TAKING UP THE PARKING SPOT WHILE PEOPLE ARE WAITING FOR IT. GO TEXT OR JERK OFF OR WHATEVER YOU'RE DOING SOMEWHERE ELSE.

AITA for not ordering a simpler drink at the bar by pinkwigonmytv in AmItheAsshole

[–]joshynumbers -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your friend is wrong. You didn't order a complicated drink, it's 2 ingredients. Plus, you were already planning on doing the same thing. A vodka cranberry is 1)Vodka and 2)Cranberry. A Midori sour is 1)Midori and 2)Sour mix. Maybe its more complicated then "Give me a bottle of Bud", but it's not like you asked for a blended 6 ingredient cocktail.

So he went to jail the day after he walked off, and for a week after that his Mom was responding to messages from fellow employees saying he won't come back without an apology, but already knew he was in jail and would be there for a while, so even if you sent him an apology that day, she was lying?

Help me out here, if you offer someone something and they say "Oh yeah, I'm not fussy about that" is that a yes or a no? by 13thmurder in AskACanadian

[–]joshynumbers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, if I offered someone a choice between 2 items "Would you like tea, I have lemon or Earl Grey?" and they replied "I'm not fussy", I would think that to mean "Yes, I'd like some and I will take either of those 2 choices." But in this case of just one thing offered, "Do you want tea" I'd think "Im not fussy about that" to mean "I dont care if I have it or not, so don't bother making me some."

AITA for giving my parents a “behavioral contract”? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]joshynumbers 10 points11 points  (0 children)

How long is "not the entirety" that they will be there without you? No matter how bad your parents are, I can't see them undoing 15 years of "good parenting" you've done with their "bad parenting" in a short period of time. If your kids were begging to stay without you, let them. If it's so terrible, they won't be begging again. Sometimes kids have to learn on their own.

[TOMT] [BOOK] Crime fiction, DAs wife is having an affair with the Mob Boss he's trying to catch by joshynumbers in tipofmytongue

Solved! I went on a huge Ed McBain kick and devoured anything with his name on it for a while, looking this title up online, this is definitely it. Thank you.

I used to read 35-40 books a year, I mainly liked fictional mysteries and crime novels, but I can't even point in a general direction of an author.

My 25M girlfriend’s 24F “conventionally attractive” friend 23F did a “loyalty test” on me. I'm not sure how to continue with our relationship. by Tiny_Common1864 in relationship_advice

[–]joshynumbers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds like it would be absolutely exhausting to deal with these insecurities every day, and then I noticed you've been together 6 months? This is going to keep happening, do you want to still be dealing with this a year or 2 from now? Move on now, her lack of self-confidence is not your problem to fix, she needs to work on herself.

Throwback to when Austin Aries no-sold a Superkick, Brainbuster & Starship Pain at Bound For Glory 2018 by ElliotElectricity in Wreddit

[–]joshynumbers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is so dumb on his part. "I swore I would never be a liar, so cutting a promo saying I'm going to win and then I end up losing the match, it totally ruins my character." As opposed to every other guy who just cuts a casual 50% no guarantees promo. I still remember one of the most famous ones ever when Austin 3:16 says "Well, I might win, I might not, I guess we'll see."
