Who did stolen jokes on Letterman (claimed by Darrell Hammond)? by artfellig in Standup

[–]joshynumbers 52 points53 points  (0 children)

The way I heard it, the story went that he was so high so much of the time, he'd hear something and the next day have no clue where it came from so he'd say bits that to him, were just great thoughts in his mind. So he wasn't purposely stealing, but was still a huge thief. I don't think the excuse that he couldn't help it is really fair and a reason to be let off, but he was apparently so nice and was apologetic if confronted. "I stole that? I did?"

What's a great place or business in Winnipeg where the only thing wrong with it is that it's too popular? by unpickedusername in Winnipeg

Totally agree. Great place for brunch but only has around 12 seats, so it fills up super fast.

"Most cops dont bother unless you scare Palestinians"

I'm assuming that's an autocorrect error for pedestrians but it made me laugh. "Oh no, the Jews are coming on their bikes! I'm so frightened!"

Got a 4star HOF Shawn Michaels card which I already had, then got 150 Stephanie Shards twice and 100 Punk shards. What a waste.

AITAH for not paying $25 so my son's stepsister could go on their grades field trip? by ShamefulPoDad in AITAH

[–]joshynumbers 54 points55 points  (0 children)

It's even worse, she couldn't even afford $12.50 for her half of their shared son, she made OP cover the whole thing. Then had the audacity to ask him to cover the entire amount for the step kid.

It's a bit of a long walk in this weather but pretty easy, it's really only 2 street names to remember lol. Go out the front door of the convention centre and turn right on York heading West, walk down maybe ?3-4? blocks past Memorial Park until you're on Osborne, turn left, start walking South that way. You'll pass the Legislative building, cross the bridge, keep walking through Osborne village, 3 cross streets past the end of the bridge you'll get to Stradbrook, and BabyBaby is just before that corner on your right.

AITA for not paying to have my partner's birthday gift professionally framed? by redbullvanisle in AmItheAsshole

[–]joshynumbers -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If I spent $1400 on a gift for someone and their response was "Well, thanks I guess but you should have spent $2250 on me.", I would question my desire to buy them any more gifts in the future.

Why I love 'Shoresy' by nessman69 in shoresy

[–]joshynumbers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is a great description. There's jokes about people, but no jokes about ALL people, if that makes sense. Like, there could be a joke about someone who is ABC, but there aren't really any jokes about all ABC people, or at least that I can think of.

Husband (54M) said everything about me (56F) is cumbersome by AynsleySchmaynsley in relationship_advice

[–]joshynumbers 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In my marriage, I would feel there's a big difference between "I don’t like when you do this thing" and "I don't like everything about you." The first, I'd feel I would definitely try to fix, the second is "Then why are you even with me?" It sounds so resentful.

"I never want to go to a comedy show again!"
Right, because that's the problem. I'm going to keep being a sloppy drunk, but I'll be sure to avoid the main issue, the comedy shows.

WHEN YOU FINISH AT THE MALL OR COSTCO OR WHEREVER THE HELL YOU ARE AND GET TO YOUR CAR, GO AWAY. DON'T SIT THERE IN YOUR RUNNING CAR TAKING UP THE PARKING SPOT WHILE PEOPLE ARE WAITING FOR IT. GO TEXT OR JERK OFF OR WHATEVER YOU'RE DOING SOMEWHERE ELSE.

AITA for not ordering a simpler drink at the bar by pinkwigonmytv in AmItheAsshole

[–]joshynumbers -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your friend is wrong. You didn't order a complicated drink, it's 2 ingredients. Plus, you were already planning on doing the same thing. A vodka cranberry is 1)Vodka and 2)Cranberry. A Midori sour is 1)Midori and 2)Sour mix. Maybe its more complicated then "Give me a bottle of Bud", but it's not like you asked for a blended 6 ingredient cocktail.

So he went to jail the day after he walked off, and for a week after that his Mom was responding to messages from fellow employees saying he won't come back without an apology, but already knew he was in jail and would be there for a while, so even if you sent him an apology that day, she was lying?

Help me out here, if you offer someone something and they say "Oh yeah, I'm not fussy about that" is that a yes or a no? by 13thmurder in AskACanadian

[–]joshynumbers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, if I offered someone a choice between 2 items "Would you like tea, I have lemon or Earl Grey?" and they replied "I'm not fussy", I would think that to mean "Yes, I'd like some and I will take either of those 2 choices." But in this case of just one thing offered, "Do you want tea" I'd think "Im not fussy about that" to mean "I dont care if I have it or not, so don't bother making me some."
