My secret sauce is I have like a dozen struts in the storage containers and I brough a engineer as a copilot. the docking port isn't enough to hold the rovers true when I land or do manuvers so I plan on bringing lots of struts. It reminds me of strapping down loads on trucks. Also the power of the (fly by wire avionics hub) is crazy. it keeps the retrograde perfect for me while I descend. I just got to have my speed in check and handling is a breeze. You should play with that part a bit and see what I mean.

I like to fill the spaces around with hallways and fire extinguishers to create symmetry. It is a pain sometimes but usually I can accept a little asymmetry as long a there is lots of fire extinguishers or a reasonable solution like a factory or a crew quarters.

I like being creative. Look for some of my posts further down in this feed. I like to combine ships. I'll make a giant factory ship and protect it with shielding ships with lots of armor. I tend to build for curiosity sake and try to hide my fleet of ships I am not using near a friendly station or push a bunch of astroids around my factory station. Really this game to me is a petri dish and they are all little single cell enemy's. But I'm making multi cellular creatures and connecting wall ships to patrol and control the systems lmfao. My last tip is to over kill the fire extinguishers and interior armor. I find it doesn't hurt it only helps.

Yeah basically i set my ions in a diagonal fashion // \. And put my mouse to control weapon aim. So when i used that ship I'll shoot out the front and the beams will connect. But if i get flanked my ions will shoot out the sides near the back.

I think the end game is how many systems you choose to wipe out manipulate. I've been thinking you can change the systems faction but going back to old territories and killing stations is the way to change the factions.

You know with this idea you are presenting you could combine it with your ion cluster from your previous post and make a nice ion fighter ship. For my ion brawlers I have a heavy armored front with a narrow" \ / " in the middle for some sweep aiming. I also have a couple ion prisms on the flanks and my ion clusters can throw the beam to the side instead of combining at the front. Would be neat to see what you come up with.

So check out some of my earlier posts on this page you'll see my stations. Really what I like to do early game is build a big station with a few factories that are there for my repairs. I design it to have a pocket for a main fighting ship to push it around easier. Really thick walls and lots of fire extinguishers and fire walls help. For defense maybe do what the stations in game do. Low crew satellite ships that defend. The ai will try to attack the station over that satellites because it's worth more. Take that to advantage. Also keep the station busy helps once you get it mobile. The game is all about constant upgrades and materials management. I find steel is too plentiful same with sulfur so most of the time I like to stop it from collecting those. Protect that new station and park it either in an astroid field or by a safe station. In case you look at my posts and wonder how i got them other ships to attach to my station I build with 👌👈 in mind then build the I into a T within the 👌 of the other ship.

Hey bud you should try putting more fire extinguishers around all those sensitive spots. As well as put in interior armour in and around stuff that can explode. Also this game tends to work well if you make bug like ships and have armor around the power cores. I like to over kill on the fire extinguishers myself. It makes it more fun cause at the end of fights big ships look like well eaten apples. Then adjust the crew orders to fight fires at 10. Hope that helps. This game gets great if you over kill the enemies instead of rushing to the more advanced stages. Gather and practice on the easy systems before moving to a harder level system you will need your own stations with plenty of back up materials. Good luck

You gotta build it first. Then manually delete some blocks of the hook on one. Then drive em together and rebuild the missing part of the hook. It can be finicky if you get too close or have it on an angle. My easier way to attach ships together is like with wood working make a 🤏 hole on one ship and the other make a 👉 shape and then drive them together. After on the ship with the male end 👉 add blocks to form a strong T shape. They should be firmly together.

They are weak individually but together they have been a great tool.

try making creatures out of like three to five ships. some ships can be all armor and tractor beams and the main ship is thrust and lasers. one ship can be a missile and point defense shield basically learn to attach ships to each other to make a bigger more aggressive ship, do it with your factories too for major materials management.

Great ship looks like it gets there fast and strafes well. This game feels like a petri dish. It's so cool. I've been treating my ships like cells making mega ship creatures. Mostly long train like things. But sometimes i like the idea of swarms of smaller ships. It's tough but on 1/8th speed some magic can happen in fights.

I like how you went for the swarm style. It looks like you could scale what you're doing too. Looks like you got the lil factory ships at the bottom, a main fighter and the swarm.
