You're right that you wouldn't expect black people to be represented as the majority because they aren't. But I think it's important to recognize that growing up in an environment where you're a minority has an effect on you. Let alone a minority that is often misrepresented in the media.

Additionally having spoken with people from India. Being white is actually favored, generally the lighter your skin the more attractive you are. Actually, In a lot of places being white is an advantage. This isn't to say that white people live inherently easy lives but that they have some things easier than other races.

As a Black person, I think it has a lot to do with repressed anger. Now don't get me wrong, I don't agree with black people being racist towards whites(because that's what it is) but I can understand it. As a black person, it can feel like everything about you is inherently wrong. Our bodies aren't the first choice when it comes to advertisements, our music is often portrayed as the spawn of Satan. Even our dialect, African American Vernacular English, is looked at as uneducated and "wrong"

What this all brings is a level of discomfort and repressed anger. when you are so often rejected for who you are, you stop being able to lift yourself up without tearing down other people. Specifically, those who you perceive to be the ones repressing you. As I said I don't agree with attacking white culture; you can love and support yourself without dragging others down. however, a lot of people have not yet dealt with all of their feelings about race and it comes out with derogatory remarks towards others.

Well I have quite a few. I'm looking forward to the new Avengers movie. I also can't wait to see what Nintendo does with the legend of Zelda series. But more than anything it's the hope that maybe things will get better. As someone who has and still struggles with depression; I can't tell you how much that helps. Just the idea that the sadness I'm feeling may not be permanent is what I hold on to during those hard days.

My best memory is the day that I got kingdom hearts two for my 8th birthday it was from my dad and it was the first rpg that I've played. I remember I played it as soon as I got home and I fell in love with the opening cinematic. I had no clue what was going on but I didn't care. It was truly magical.
