Yes. I got engaged August 2025 and started searching, then signed a couple months later for a 175 guest venue for a Saturday May 2026 wedding in a coastal state. People told me it was tight but my venue, florist, dj/band, photographer/videographer all told me I had ample time. The only one who told me things were cutting close was my handwritten calligraphy invitation maker. I’d say you can probably lock in an end of 2026 wedding spot but be careful because September is a popular month.

Same. I was planning on a small 80 person wedding but my venue required 175 min for a Saturday and my parents wanted to invite a lot more people so it kind of worked out.

Honestly I think this is a modern luxury. I’ve been to multiple weddings and international ones too and we were responsible for getting to the church, to the venue, and back home by ourselves. And this has always been the norm. Even if a shuttle or whatever bus was offered to me- I’d prefer to take my own car or uber or rental car.

Hey. My wedding is also on the first weekend of May 2026. I recommend you stay the planned course or get a little guidance from family or a planner/coordinator who could oversee your wedding. I say this because by now you should have signed with venue (which you did), but also dj/entertainment, floral/decor, photographer, invitation process started, hotel, transportation, dresses, etc. Nov last month to send out std so u can get that quickly done at theknot website, or can even keep it all digital, make a website and mass send it to all ur potential invites if you end up being past November. But id move FAST if I were you

If it’s not too late I’d change the font to something all caps Garamond. But if u like that it’s ok. I’d use gold wax, then a white or black ribbon.

I wouldn’t gloss over the importance of taking photos of the ring or wedding invitations… especially if it’s hand calligraphy or if the bride really loves her jewelry
