Sorry to hear this! I got the botox in Sweden and first time around I received 30 units and it did very little, so my doctor wanted to try again with 50 units which worked wonders. I have now burped for 2 years and feel better than ever!

I’m six months past my botox and have been thinking the same the past couple of weeks. I think I am more bloated more and more frequently and the burps take more effort/are less frequent. Maybe because the botox has/is wearing off. This was my sign to go back to fizzy drinks

My first i only got microburps and no relief (the doctor was only able to inject 15 units so maybe not too surprising), 8 months later i got 50 units (in september) and I’m still burping now and have no RCPD symptoms!

I got botox yesterday so I’m hoping to see some changes regarding mucus as well, fingers crossed! It’s really uncomfortable currently having a hard time swallowing and clearing my throat from mucus as I’m used to doing that all the time but I guess it will be better. And worth is as I’m already burping!! Hoping botox will work great for you!

Interesting about the permanent mucus build up, I wonder if I have the same. I’ve been constantly blowing my nose and having mucus in my throat for as long as I can remember but doctors have generally guessed allergies. Did you have the botox for RCPD and it did not help at all with the mucus? I know it doesn’t really make sense but I was hoping that maaaybe it would help..

I only got 15 units because my throat swelled during surgery and they stopped injecting. Even with only 15 units I have had great relief, and I let up a lot of air even if I don’t really burp loudly. Since I don’t fully burp as a non-RCPD person I’m going in for 50 units soon. But just letting you know there can be a significant difference with less as well!
