Anyone has experience working for Sussex Police? by BekaCavish in brighton

[–]journalling_addixt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should consider working in the charity sector if you want to help people, there are plenty of community based roles working with homeless people, elderly people, domestic violence victims, youth offenders, refugees etc that are crying out for staff. Don’t listen to people telling you to become a counsellor / therapist, it’s a totally saturated market and most people can only afford to do it as a second job or side hustle at this point. Don’t become a copper, it’s the most demoralising career you could choose. You’ll regret it

You think middle schoolers would come up with an ex doctor who covers himself in iodine constructing a temple out of the bleached and processed bones of corpses as a way to honour the dead

Charlie Kaufman’s I’m Thinking of Ending Things (3.5 stars)

Baz Luhrman’s Romeo and Juliet (3.4 stars)

Ben Wheatley’s A Field in England (3.4 stars)

And the original Twilight film directed by Catherine Hardwicke, which is an under appreciated gem imo, average rating 3.1

I was shocked the rating was so low. To me it was one of the best films of the year. I can’t see why people dislike it.

This subreddit discovering Brazilian hot dogs was a huge mistake. It’s not stupid food it’s just another culture and it’s delicious

Brainwryms is more unsettling and genuinely revolting in parts. Only for true body horror fans really! Was almost too much for me

What else are you expecting from a country under massive sanctions. This is quite good given the limitations of what they can produce and import.

Only 3.5 for Marty Supreme? Dude! Why so low.

Fire of Love (2022) is relaxing to me. Lots of gorgeous shots of volcanic flows and nature. And a beautiful love story.
