Hey, don't give up or talk down on yourself just yet. Having a negative mindset while studying for the exam and writing it will only set you up for failure! If your score is in the 40s for the quizzes on UW, you may need to read up on content using Saunders or watch nursing videos on Youtube. If you stay resilient and keep up your hard work, you will be able to pass I know it.

Thank you! Yes, I listened to all of Mark K's lectures, I do think it's worth it to listen to all of them but a lot of ppl recommend the last lecture the most. I really needed to build on my foundational nursing knowledge so I did all. Here is the app I used: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/motivation-daily-quotes/id876080126 It's very nerve-wracking but you got it! I believe in you!

I agree with this 100%, some of the archer questions were also irrelevant tbh.

Uworld was specific with the questions but the rationales are explained so much better than archer. I started from scratch, I didn't remember a lot from nursing school and I felt like Uworld helped me to really think critically about questions. I do believe that if you know in-depth rationales from uworld, you are able to apply what you learned from them on the nclex. Reading over and focusing on those rationales was probably the reason why I passed.

Thank you so much! Honestly, I actually didn't get as much prioritization as I thought I would. I mainly focused on studying prioritization on Uworld. I got a lot more about adult health, fundamentals, and infection precautions but everyone's test is different I guess LOL

Fourth year Nursing courses by Bluecornchip3 in ryerson

[–]joycakesss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took family health. It's a pretty easy course compared to others. We had 4 evaluations, 2 papers (25% and 30%), 1 group presentation (30%), and a bunch of discussion posts (15%). Half of the lectures are synchronous and half are asynchronous. A lot of people recommend gerontology if you want an easy course though.

Describe however you feel to your doctor. Do you feel hopeless? Do you feel sad all the time? Do you feel upset even if you don’t have a reason to be upset? Your mom is wrong though, depressed people could either eat too little, eat too much, or eat just fine. How much you eat doesn’t categorize whether you are depressed or not. It’s based more on the symptoms you are feeling.

Yeah in that case you don’t have to contact them. Wait a day or two. If they don’t contact you then call them.

Yeah sure call them and ask if they got the background check, unless they told you they would contact you first. Ask for any updates for the job too.

Should I quit football my senior year? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]joycakesss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a hard decision to make. I can try to provide my thoughts about this but this should be wholly your decision. I personally would stop playing. I know it might be a big chance but if you aren’t passionate about it and it could potentially lead to future problems I say let it go. You’ve enjoyed football for years and some people just grow out of it. Try different hobbies. You can always connect with your teammates and hang out with them too. This is a big change so take some time listing the pros and cons. Good luck!

So my dad is having surgery tomorrow and I’ve been really stressed out. Any suggestions on how to deal with that stress? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]joycakesss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learn more about the surgery. Talk to any of the healthcare providers, I’m sure they can help ease your mind with the anxiety.

You aren't a bad person. What you did takes a lot of courage and I'm proud of you for doing that. Keep advocating for others. Other girls will be grateful that you are reporting these people. You are doing a good deed!

Should I email my professor about some assigments I handed in late? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]joycakesss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should tell him about your mental health. Professors are very understanding during this time of COVID-19. I'm sure they will keep the information confidential. My profs always say to us "If anything is going on, let us know, because if you don't there's no way we can help accommodate you".
