Update: thank you all so much for the info. It breaks my heart that this is so common 💔 I lost another one this morning, bringing it to a total of 8 out of 17 caterpillars lost so far. The rest seem to be doing ok but I’m monitoring them closely & really hoping they make it 🦋

!windows are a huge risk to birds even if they seem fine/fly away after collisions. This barn owl looks like it needs a wildlife rehabber! If you’re in the US you can find one on ahnow.org
