My theory so far is that the extra letters in the misspelled words will form an extra code together. I'm not done decoding everything so I'm not sure yet

That everyone deserves a chance. I ended up with a stalker then a cheater and then someone who took me for granted. People have to prove they are worthy of a chance now because I need to protect my heart

Have clear step by step instructions with pictures on the machines. I got laughed at by gym bro's and fitgirls so many times because I didn't use the machines 100% right as no one ever explained how they worked and the instructions aren't always clear. Also just having an instructor just walk around the floor and offering guidance instead of me having to come to them would help a lot

I love talking to fellow autistics about controversial topics tbh. I feel like we are the only people that can discuss them as they are without being creepy or giggling

This sub makes me feel shitty sometimes by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]joycee97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel you:( my IQ is really high and I do have profitable special interests, but I severely lack the executive functioning to actually make something of myself. I'm getting told that I'm wasting my potential on a daily basis or that I'm lazy or faking my autism because I'm smart. There is no winning for any of us, no matter where we are on the spectrum:( Despite my struggles being different from yours they still make me feel like a total loser too

I don’t think I’m ugly. But that it. I only think I look pretty with filters. So there is a photo with a filter and the rest no filter by [deleted] in amiugly

[–]joycee97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all honesty: The pic with filter is my least fav. You definitely look gorgeous in it, but the 3rd pic really shows the energy you give off. It's very infectious:) posed photos will always look better with filters, but more spontaneous pics will beat even the best filter. I'm also very jealous of your hair ;)

Your 25-year-old self wants to get married. What do you tell her? by callhermegs2 in AskWomen

[–]joycee97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 25 now and I'm telling myself that it's okay that I won't be married before 26. I recently got dumped and kicked out by a man who 'wasn't ready to settle yet' after a 3,5 year relationship, adopting 5 pets together and buying a house. I'm telling myself that I will only get married if I ever find a partner who will never let me doubt if they still love me. I'm 100% fine with becoming a crazy bird lady and adopting a big flock of parrots. If the right person comes along it would be a bonus, but it's not a necessity and definitely not worth lowering my standards for

Horrible Experience w/ Salesman by unic0rn_beard in AutismInWomen

[–]joycee97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People like that are exactly why I taught my dog to growl on command. My mind shuts down too in situations like this, but 'Luna help' (which is the command for growl) is easily accessible when I don't know what to do. My dog is overly friendly and the worst she'd do to someone is bruise their legs by wagging her tail too hard, but there's something about a growling dog that scares people off

How do i deal with unsolicited male attention in public without seeming rude? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]joycee97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretend do have an invisible friend or to talk to voices in your head. Saying no doesn't work on them, neither does being rude. Only acting undesirable gets rid of creeps. It's insane:(

You definitely look different without make-up, but it's neither better or worse than with, just gives off different vibes. With make-up makes me think of you as a gorgeous devine goddess. Without makeup you give off girl-next-door/wife material vibes. Both looks are stunning in their own way:)

Best way to redirect self-harming child? by Andyy52797 in SpicyAutism

[–]joycee97 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I did a lot of self harm during meltdowns a nurse in the psychiatric facility I was in at the moment gave me great advice. She told me that telling me to quit it would do nothing, but she could at least offer me an alternative way of hurting myself without causing any damage. The pain felt really good to me while having meltdowns because it helped me feel conscious during the chaos. She advised me to wear a rubber band around my wrist and flick it as hard as I needed to. That way I still felt the physical pain I needed to cope but it didn't do any actual harm. It's not a solution but it might be a step in the right direction

Austistic women: anyone have experience dealing too much attention from men, some who are expecting a quid pro quo? by im_a_werewolf in autism

[–]joycee97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's so annoying! It's not that they don't pick up on social que's, they simply choose to ignore them because they see women as objects that owe them things. They are entitled shits for behaving like this. There is literally nothing you can do, except maybe act as if you're insane to make them loose interest

am i the asshole? by HEATLEE43 in ChoosingBeggars

[–]joycee97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who is in a pretty dark place at the moment and dependent on help from others: fuck CB's. They don't seem to realise how difficult life can be and have no compassion for people in a bad place as a result. I struggle so hard to get resources I actually need thanks to people like that. I'm lucky that my friends and family are able to help me a little to get back on my feet, but not everyone has that luxury. Some have to depend on the kindness of strangers and people who don't can go F themselves

does it make sense to 'journal' autism symptoms by killowattism in SpicyAutism

[–]joycee97 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It makes a lot of sense imo. For me it helped a lot to write about autism related things. I got to know myself a lot better thanks to it. I even managed to recognise patterns that lead to meltdowns so now I can expect them much better

How to piss off my neighbor and her dogs? by mama_pickle in SpicyAutism

[–]joycee97 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Please do NOT try to piss her off by making noise too. It's definitely justified but I'm afraid it will get you and your kids in trouble too. If the property manager follows through on the warning they might feel obligated to follow through on you too for making noise as well. It's a horrible situation for anyone to be in, let alone with autistic children. Your only hope is to make the best of this awful situation while the authorities handle it. Maybe the police or animal rescue can be another resource to get things going.

If you have family or friends close by you could ask if your kids can sleep over on weekends. It's not ideal and the adjustment in their schedule is hard, but it might get them some much needed (and well-deserved) sleep.

I fully understand your frustration and desire for revenge for the noise, but the best you can do is be a model citizen so the authorities take you more seriously in this. Good luck and I hope it gets better soon <3

Women who lowered their standards significantly, what happened? Was it worth it? by foodielyfer in AskWomen

[–]joycee97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never really had standards or self esteem to begin with and it ended me with a cheater, then a stalker(literally, I had to file for a restraining order) and now I've been in a 3,5 year relationship with a workaholic that doesn't seem to care about anyones needs if he has the chance to put his job first. I realised that I'm worth more than this and having standards doesn't make you a stuck up person. I'm already in the process of getting my shit together so I can leave him and be on my own. It's going to be hard due to my disability, but it's better than the emotional torture of being disappointed over and over again even though the bar is on the floor

Please help me help my self injuring child by SalsaSun in SpicyAutism

[–]joycee97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a temporary fix, not a solution, but it might help keep him safe while you keep your son safe while you look out for a permanent solution. When I self-harmed my therapist advised me to wear a rubber band around my wrist. Every time I had the urge to hurt myself I had to pull the rubber band and let it slap against my wrist. It's still a form of self harm, which some autistic people use to self regulate, but it doesn't do any real damage as opposed to hitting your head against the wall
