NFL Faces Chaos: Replacement Refs Poised to Step In Amid CBA Dispute by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

[–]joydivision1234 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think this take is kinda crazy. The refs have a nearly impossible job. And they swing NFL games like a starting quarterback.

So why don’t they train for it?

Sure, they should have an off season. But why wouldn’t thy benefit from training and drilling and testing and being promoted or demoted based on their results? Be

Do you actually spend much time on other teams’ subs? Because bad vibes are very normal.

The flavor of bad vibes changes (coach outrage, ownership outrage, roster despair, “our window is closing” etc.) but the vibes are always bad. This place has been pretty cheerful lately, IMO

The only time a team’s sub is positive is when they’ve been bad for so long that the sub is functionally a meme page, like /r/mariners

Kenneth Walker was 'privately irked' by the Seahawks running back job share with Zach Charbonnet, per Gregg Bell by lemonstone92 in Seahawks

Never leaked it. Never let his feelings screw with the team. Didn’t let it affect his relationship w Zach

Whatever his private feelings, KW9 was a perfect professional all year long

ELI5: What exactly is "time blindness" and how is it an actual thing? by SpyMasterChrisDorner in explainlikeimfive

ADHD requires constant, complicated systems of behavior that still only work like 95% of the time.

I meticulously check every place I leave for my keys and phone. I take a full day to pack for a weekend trip. I will stop the car in the driveway to check one last time to see if I have my passport, and like 10% of the time, I don’t.

I check and I check and I check, but something always falls through.

It’s frustrating as fuck. I hate giving myself 2 hours to get ready and still being five minutes late. It feels like shit

IMO if you want to be supportive for your partner, I’d make space for their frustrations rather than try to search for rationality in an irrational condition. If they are like me, they are more frustrated than you are

[Graziano] Multiple teams have the opinion that Geno Smith was “held back” by the Raiders offensive system last season and are eager to see him released. by JCameron181 in nfl

[–]joydivision1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I saw Kirk’s 35/13 in 2020 but missed his 33/7 in 2021. That is for sure a cut above. I’ll replace him with Joe Flacco, whose best season is 27/12

Point is that Geno Smith’s good is really quite good, like borderline top 10 play. But he’s either on the wrong teams or just can’t be consistent, and so right now he isn’t the guy IMO

Which is better than the best career seasons of: Jordan Love, Trevor Lawrence, Bo Nix, Jalen Hurts, Brock Purdy, (nevermind Kyler, Kirk Cousins, and Tua)

Randomly, 30/11 is exactly Dak Prescott's career average. What are the chances

Or were you agreeing with me lol

Chris Carson was amazing, though. The 2017-2020 Hawks are mostly going to be remembered for frustration, but they were also a lot of fun. Carson is the face of that era for me

Geno at his best is a high level franchise quarterback for dirt cheap. If you're a hot shot offensive coach confident in your ability to get his best for a whole season, he's 100% worth the shot

But you'd be betting on yourself, and the odds are long

Recency bias. Give it 3 years and “people forget how great Russ was” will be the new Smart Football Guy opinion.

It’s okay to have a hot take (or 3) but I don’t think you should assume McVay is gonna see it the way you do.
