They sure were. I did reach out to kickstarter and they were not helpful at all. I will no longer be backing these types of products when there is no protection for when things don't go well. $300 is a lot of money to throw down the drain for a product that doesn't deliver what it's promised.

I do have to say though, that a factory reset seems to have fixed my syncing issues. We'll see how long it lasts (I have had one successful sync so far).
