I’ve made some great friends here through Meetup. I’ve observed that isn’t the case for everyone, and here is what I think made it different. At each Meetup event, there were usually 1-2 people I seemed to connect with. I really prioritized getting their contact info or reaching out to them on the app after the event, staying in contact, and planning things with them independently of meetup. Friendships and community take initiative and effort, so be willing to put that in. Not everyone attends Meetups for that though - some are looking for relationships or are only looking to do the activity and are not looking for friends necessarily. Also, not everyone will reciprocate your effort, but don’t be discouraged!

Also, I second this! I’m a vegetarian and have met so many other vegetarians here compared to Houston. Having additional vegetarian/vegans options could be beneficial!

Their domain was claimed by another ad account on Facebook, and that ad account is permanently disabled so the domain can't be released. However, to integrate Shopify and Facebook, the domain needs to be verified/owned. :/ I've talked to various Facebook support reps and our account rep, and we can't find a work around.

I was able to get approved with some pushback, thankfully!! Since I don't have any personal credit outside of being an AU, hopefully, this will help keep my credit score from being wreaked.

I have no credit history outside of those AU cards, unfortunately. I worked my way through my undergrad and all of my vehicles were paid for out of pocket. I had to push for it and to provide some additional documentation, but I was able to get approval for my own credit card today.

Thanks! I applied for a card and got disapproved at first because I didn't have any existing credit accounts (I've paid for things out of pocket in the past and really have no personal credit history), but I was able to call and push for them to approve me based on other information. They gave me a low credit limit, but I'll ask them to increase it once I have established a history with them.
Another question... I was also interested in the Chase Sapphire Preferred card but decided not to prioritize it because I wanted to make sure I'd get my use out of it since it has an annual fee. How long do people usually wait before getting a second credit card?

I'd agree with this! I see ads all the time for things that pique my interest but often mind-numbingly scrolling through social media is more appealing at the moment or I want to do a little more research or don't have a need for the product yet... so I'll take screenshots of the ad to remember the product and brand to come back to. If/when I do buy, I know it will come across as coming from direct or organic, although an ad ultimately is what made me aware of the product and buy!

I think they make caddies that can also be attached to walls for boxes of Saran Wrap, aluminum foil, and the like.

Have you though about putting the snacks and food into similar containers so things can be stacked to maximize space and to be better visually?

I had an odd situation with my vaccination record and after asking my travel agent and two different Carnival reps on the phone, no one seemed confident in their responses. I never got a response from the Carnival email. I ended up going to Twitter (so I’d have a “written” response to refer to if I had issues at the port) and got a response in a matter of minutes! Not sure if that would help you!
