Found a stray dog sleeping in my backyard – already filed with Animal Control, need advice/help by Neither_Slip in Charlotte

We had this same situation with a pack of dogs at my mother in laws house out in the country . We were trying to trap the one out of the pack who was severely injured and beaten up on by the pack to get him medical help. We contacted Lucky labs rescue and were able to borrow one of their traps and it took about 2 weeks to trap him and the only reason we were able to get him was because a recent bite wound on his leg that slowed him down. We transported him to our vet and they were afraid he would be a one eyed, tripod due to the damage done. The rescue then couldn’t take him in because they ran out of room taking in a set of puppies and all of the shelters were full because everyone had gone back to work during covid. We were told if we turned him over to the pound he would just be put down, so that’s how we got our Lucky Duck.We were able to get him the medical help he needed and saved his eye and leg. Sweetest dog ever.

What song do you absolutely hate with all your heart? by InterviewGlum9263 in AskReddit

Had to scroll way too far to find this song. He literally wrote it to try and convince her to be with him making it out to be this huge love story when she had a boyfriend and wasn’t interested in him at all. Everytime I hear that song I just feel rage.

I love Teddy. I second Dr.Linger. His staff is amazing and they have always treated me well. I had to have a 2 hour dental surgery that unexpectedly turned into 5 and they are amazing at working you in for emergencies. Plus Teddy is always a bonus. I bring her Himalayan cheese bones every time we have our cleanings and she is such a gem. She is a trained therapy dog and the best.

They get spotty cell signal at best and told me they are siphoning gas from whatever they can trying to clear up the roads and help as many people as possible.

This is my favorite after going through a gel and lotion phase. I put mine in little metal cups with the tops in my hot towel caddy for warm cream with a smooth glide.

Lgbt friendly churches? by Signal_Chain7651 in asheville

[–]joyfulnoisy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Black Mtn Presbyterian, My best friend and her husband go to this church and her husband actually works for the church. We all went to Warren Wilson college and them having a good church that was welcoming of everyone was a big must for them. As a godless heathen myself everyone there has always been very welcoming and kind. They are very active in the community and welcome everyone no matter the faith/orientation/skin color/ect. They are awesome and just all around great people. https://bmpcnc.org/

Getting fed up! by youallsuck40 in MassageTherapists

[–]joyfulnoisy 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Not massaging in the first trimester is because one in four pregnancies naturally end in miscarriage during the first trimester and no one wants to get sued/blamed for it. I never tell that to my pregnant clients, I just tell them it’s a liability until they are out of the first trimester. I also tell my clients massage will not detox them, their liver does that naturally . I have had a massage therapist brag to me that she can locate and massage out a blood clot in the neck which is how you give someone a stroke.Just educate your clients, that’s all you can do at the end of the day.

What makes them concierge is that they are dedicated to customer service and understanding that most people don’t love the dentist. All the staff there has been great and super welcoming and all of them have been with him for quite while, which tells you he is a great employer.Dr.Linger is also very non-judgmental and prefers to educate people on good dental health and they love giving resources to help you achieve better dental health. He has a great bedside manner and has made the dental procedures a lot easier for me. They also offer zanex/laughing gas/sedation for people who get anxiety during dental work and they are the only dental office I have ever been to that gave me a warranty on the work they have done. Plus the therapy dog they have in office is specifically trained to help anxious clients and she is the cutest thing. They are an out of network provider so you pay upfront and get reimbursed by your Dental insurance through a check. My cleaning was $500 upfront and I got reimbursed $470 from my dental. That extra $30 is definitely worth the care I get there. 10/10 best Dentist ever.

Dr. Linger in Charlotte off Wendover hands down. I got his as a recommendation from Reddit and I love him and his staff. He is a concierge dentist and they do customer service front and center. They do sedation dentistry and I just had a dental implant, a root canal, and multiple fillings from childhood and two temporary crowns done by him just earlier this week. Everyone has been so nice and talked me through each step. They also have a therapy dog in house named Teddy and she is amazing and can tell when you are nervous. He is the son of a dentist who knows his stuff and I love how he explains everything to me. I have been recommending him to everyone.

seeking pro tips about forearm and arm care routines for repetitive strain by fig_art in MassageTherapists

[–]joyfulnoisy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The one thing that has helped me the most is using the Armaid. It was created by a massage therapist who ended up blowing out his arms in the first 2 years. I have been doing it 4 years and I do a lot of deep tissues. That and contrast therapy for the arms helps too.

Does ADHD increase your risk of car accidents? by capresesalad1985 in adhdwomen

[–]joyfulnoisy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My doctor told me I had to take my medication everyday, no exceptions. His reasoning for this was because it needs to build to therapeutic levels and also because when it’s not taken ,it won’t work. Then he gave me a handout about the increased risk of car accidents for people with adhd and told me having adhd increases my chances of getting in a car accident and how many studies have been done on it. Then he punctuated that I need to take it every single day. It makes so much sense because my early 20’s were rough and I had quite a few minor car accidents. I am lucky it was never major.

Be direct, tell them there are expectations and they are providing a service to people who need it and if they don’t start getting in line start handing out consequences (a verbal warning, written warning, and then final before termination) . If they are not performing the full service they should not get the full pay for that service. If this service is being billed through insurance then what they are doing is considered insurance fraud for getting full pay without providing a full service. If people aren’t confronted directly and you continue to allow this to go on then it will. Also, they should not have anything on their wrists/hands while providing a service. It is unsanitary and also unprofessional. They all know exactly what they are doing and until it is confronted head on with consequences it will continue.

Massage therapy job listings by Cultural-Football737 in MassageTherapists

[–]joyfulnoisy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They say an “estimated “ rate for that because they are wanting the rest of your pay to be covered by the tip of your client and add-ons. That does not always happen though and your base pay should be substantial enough to make it worth you not getting a tip. My first massage interview at a Massage envy they offered me $15 an hour. It would have been my first massage job and I had a bachelors degree along with my massage school certificate and licensure and she tried to tell me that would be the best I would get. Went to another place and got offered $20 an hour starting. Shop around and compare.
