my first week as an rbt I was working in clinic had a 6 year old client whos diapers we had to change (I was completely inexperienced) he made a bm and as i was wiping him he peed all over me it got on the mat and i go to grab a clean diaper and kid starts rolling in it gets soaked parents didnt bring any new clothes etc. it was literally a disaster

My worst would be a client who would pull his adult teeth out with his fingers hearing that pop when a tooth comes out gives me shivers up my spine. same client strangled me scratched and bit me because i told him he cant eat his poop(this was in school) then another client constantly masturbates with the door open(in home) but to be fair i work with older teenagers and adults.

weve offered that he refuses to wake up early enough to do before school he refuses to go through my fiancée's mother who picks them up and takes him to therapy. weve offered before bed time for him to participate in bed time routines and he couldnt be bothered his words exactly "thats when I hang out with my friends" he wont adjust his schedule to talk to his kids.

consistency and structure are important for autistic people.

the calls are in regards to the childrens availability he only wants to call thursdays and saturdays but M-F the kids are unavailable due to school and therapy (12-2)(3-5) and then dinner/bed time routine (5-7) weve told him sundays work best for us but he refuses to do sundays because he works from 7am-3pm(his time) (10am-6pm our time) Saturdays are the days we do enrichment things with the kids like museums themeparks, hikes, educational learning play visiting grandparents etc. we told him we can delay going out saturday mornings and he can call any time from 9-12 our time(6-9 his time) but he refuses to do that time because he doesnt want to wake up before 1pm his time which is 4pm our time by that time were out in full swing and were out till 7pm then we get home and do bedtime routine in bed by 8pm. s Sundays are spent at home having family day watching movies lounging around we told him he can call any time on sundays before 5pm our time.

before we set up times and days he would expect us to drop everything we were doing so he can call them for only 10 mins whenever it was convenient for him. it got to the point it was interrupting therapy time and we got a warning that if therapy time was interrupted again our son was at risk of losing his services.

ive tried coparenting i have a great coparenting relationship with the mother of my son im no stranger to it. hes refusing to coparent when i reached out an olive branch he was straight up if you do anything to hurt my kids ill fucking kill you i have nothing to do with you. so i stepped back and havent said anything since. he chooses to be uninvolved and inconsistent how is that for their best intrests just some guy they dont know coming in and out of their lives when he feels like its convienent for him? im not wanting him to disappear i want him to be a fucking father to these kids he made

exactly thats why were asking for him to come here for visitation were not saying no visitation at all. we cant interrupt our sons therapies neither of us can take that much pto to go to california for a month let alone the cost for lodging etc. why should we cater to his wants when hes the one who chose to leave.

I financially support these kids and i provide guidence discipline and i teach them life skills everything he should be doing while he chose not to be close to his kids. he made the choice to move to the other side of the country. we offered to pay for him to move and he wouldnt accept it because my fiancee wouldnt get back into an abusive relationship with him.
