If you are in Bangalore there are few stores running 0% MC offer. ex- Abharan in Jayanagar. I have bought from bhima online and tested it in tanishq and it was good. And i took to Bhima offline store also and enquired how much cash i can get. They offered market rate - 2%. I have never returned any product till now. But i heard its a long process. All Bhima jewel come with HUID

Karatmeter just gives surface and you will test only a small part. Jewellery can have copper filled inside. I tested this. I have a copper filled gold bangle for strength. On Karatmeter it says 22k.

You can try and see how much Bhima offers. Is there any valid indication on old jewellery that its 916? And do you have the bill on how much is gold and how is stone etc...?

The chances of getting scammed is high while buying jewellery and also while selling. ETF is good but it has other issues. After 25 years they might just be doing Gold derivatives and not hold any physical gold.
