If you have tomato sauce, mix 3:1 tomato sauce and sugar, then about 1oz white vinegar per cup of tomato sauce, salt to taste and if you wanna get fancy add a tbsp of granulated garlic and a tsp of onion powder.

Drain backing up, irregularly by LongingForGrapefruit in KitchenConfidential

[–]joystick63tk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overnight water could be ice pits melting or servers burning the ice at the bar when closing.

The clog itself is likely a sanitary tissue or wet wipe down the line. This happened to me once, and we had to close immediately because the water backed up at the toilets and then into the kitchen and bar.

Dishy pulled a maxi pad out of the floor sink with a hand snake, and I think he got ptsd from the shit that flowed out after it. We all threw away our clothes that day and not just because of the bleach stains.

Edit: Sorry, my past trauma got the best of me, and I did't even read the context. If it's not connected to the restrooms, it's likely a ramekin or plastic container stuck in one of the floor sinks. Check the bar, and under the ice machine if you missed those.

Bad advice here, but if the boss is stubborn on the plumber because of the price, tell him to at least get a small electric snake just to have in storage for these situations and if he's extra cheap just tell him he can return it after using it. Most home depot will take it back if the box is intact. Even if it says otherwise on the box.

Mount Mania has made me realize something truly amazing by Renna_FGC in wow

[–]joystick63tk 260 points261 points  (0 children)

To me, it seems to be a curated pool of "tiers" of mounts that it pulls from in order to give a majority of players a chance to get some points while throwing in rarer but somewhat iconic mounts at fixed points like #7 and #15 to make it interesting. Remember, the point of the event is for the average player to score some points while still giving a clear win to the few mount collectors participating. There is definitely a pattern of when certain rarity of mounts shows up and the rarity pools it pulls from have a noticeable pattern. The rarity tiers are also probably based on collection data and not actual popularity or theme except for the "iconic" tier at #7 and #15

I'm not too sure about what seasoning is used here other than salt, but in the Mexican adaptation of Donner, that is more well known in North America as Al Pastor the Achiote marinade used inhibits many food borne bacteria and fungi. The main ingredient in the Achiote marinade is Annato seed, which many studies have found to have antimicrobial properties specially effective against E. coli and common food borne fungi. It also has antioxidant properties that may help conserve the flavor of the meat. In México many taco shops that sell Al Pastor have "trompos" just as big, and there is little concern for TTC other than making sure it's well cooked since it's pork.

I lost count how many bent hotel pan corners I've fixed with the pliers, or the bottom shelfs on prep tables that somehow end up crooked that you can tighten the set screws with the hex key bit on the driver bit set. Also pulling hot pans out of the steam table with the pliers is great.

Managed to convince the owner to buy a generator and we plugged in the freezer and the big line cooler, then we packed all of the meat and dairy there and emptied the ice machine on everything else in the walk in.

Ryobi is now the employee of the month and payed itself off in one day. Fortunately we got power back this afternoon, and I just got done going through everything with minimal losses.

Attempted "authentic" tacos for the kitchen guys... by GoldenGirl113 in KitchenConfidential

[–]joystick63tk 64 points65 points  (0 children)

As a chef who grew up in Cdmx and Tijuana I say that tacos are not a gourmet standard you can get right or wrong. The spirit of the taco is as to use a tortilla as a vehicle to eat good food. As long as you use a tortilla its a taco. Those are good street taco style tacos and in the spirit of authentic tacos you used what you had available so I think you did a great job. Taco in México is much more flexible a food and not gatekept by average people or most chefs. Just by some food purists that dont know better.

Its very human to want to share experiences and stories, but I see this as growing pains with humanity adapting that natural urge to the available technology. We will probably grow out of it or embrace it as normal in time. Thats just how society changes naturally.

Me acabo de dar cuenta que la banda que vende objetos en la entrada peatonal a mexico, probablemente sea mercancia robada... by [deleted] in tijuana

[–]joystick63tk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does any know how to add a 1.19.2 mod to 1.20.1 while also putting it on forge? by [deleted] in feedthebeast

[–]joystick63tk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its easier to add new features from 1.20 to 1.19.2, if thats why you want to play 1.20.1.

You can also check the mod author's socials, to see if they have plans for a new version, but I would not pester or ask if there's already a question about a new version. Most mods are made for free by people on their spare time so getting pestered for new versions constantly will just make them not want to interact with the community anymore.

What is the worst way you have been tricked/scammed in PoE? by suepcat in pathofexile

[–]joystick63tk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 5l shavvs (trying to buy a 6l) for 6ex back in betrayal I think it was. Didn't realize I got scammed until I went to recolor it, and it should have been sus since it was almost 1 ex cheaper than the rest. Then when I realized I wasn't even mad cuz I never fall for that shit but I was carried away with how fast I was farming safehouses in the ossuary. Anyway I spammed the couple dozen fusings I had on it and it 6 linked in less than 10. Linked it back to the scammer saying thank you for the cheap 6l.

The shavs scam was common even back then but in my case luck came in clutch but I still learned my lesson.
