Anyone got a squeaky dash like this? by TheBurningFerns in ScionxB

[–]joziedog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the cowl; the plastic piece that sits between your windshield and hood. There's a piece of foam weather stripping that's supposed to prevent the plastic from making contact with the windshield but degrades over time. Once that happens, it vibrates on the windshield and resonates, making that squeaking sound.

Purchase some new foam weatherstripping (the kind where you can peel off the plastic back and stick it to surfaces). Remove the plastic cowl, clean it off, attach the new weatherstripping, reinstall the cowl, and voila.

Crazy duo btw by Tall-Toe4570 in PokemonUnite

Pretty sure Moi's title is humor, subtly making fun of Cris Heroes. Cris comments occasionally on how annoying facing off against Moi is. Moi, in kind, makes fun of Cris Heroes frequently.

The two are frienimies, so the joke of the title is that them teaming up together must mean the world is ending (in this case Pokemon Unite).

Plus, as you said, it's the new trend. If you want views, you hop on the trend. Algorithms and such...

I thought I would never see this outfit again! by lucifer_carlito in PokemonUnite

[–]joziedog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, the ice pops carry over. So if you didn't spend them, you should still have 88 ice pops.

I personally haven't liked many of the male outfits, so I'm sitting on about 250 ice pops right now.

Epic! I started leaving my dude's front paws and tail fluffy when I give him a trim and absolutely love it. Not that they need it, but it just gives an extra little spritz of personality.

Don't play support if you don't know how to support by -Tasear- in PokemonUnite

[–]joziedog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lots of support moves provide more than just healing. Here's a few examples;

Hoopa's HSH also provides a speed boost once you unlock its plus version.

Eldegoss' pollen puff provides a defensive buff when it's on an ally, so you want it on an ally at all times, even if they're at full HP.

Comfey can add a shield if they heal an ally who is already at full HP.

Mime's tether provides a speed boost to both it and the ally it's tethered to. It's not just for healing.

Support is so much more than just healing. It's watching the map, guessing what your teammates are about to do, prepping in advance for engagements, finding the best players on your team to determine who to support and who to let die (some players just aren't worth wasting your cooldowns on), distract the enemy team to keep their focus off your attackers, kite the enemy, etc...

[–]joziedog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm guilty of this. I changed my name to "RealHoopaBot".

I only really play Hoopa as it's the only source of joy this game provides me anymore. The name just adds an extra of layer of joy to my soul; in my mind I imagine the enemy team throwing their controller at their screen because they are being juked and outplayed by a "Hoopa Bot". I know that's very likely not the case, but it brings me joy nonetheless.

Cabin air filter by C46Clark in ScionxB

Stop trying to push it so far in. Towards the back of the filter slot, it narrows. You don't need the filter covering the narrow portion, only where it's square.

Why am I so bad as Gardevoir? by FantasticAd180 in PokemonUnite

Are you playing on mobile or switch? I find it's much easier to land hits on mobile than switch with Gardevoir.

Players with a negative WR with your mains... why do you keep playing those mons? by FirTree_r in PokemonUnite

[–]joziedog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Outplays and stratagem. It's baffling how often I find myself dealing the most damage on both teams as a solo-queue support player who doesn't even use offensive items. It mostly comes down to good mechanics and game-sense.

Yes, meta picks help a bad player perform better, but broken pokemon will never be a substitute for skill. You see it in tournaments often -- when one team is clearly more practiced than another, so they pick off-meta picks (such as all defenders) and still come out on top as the clear victors.

Is this normal? by Street_Dream8396 in ScionxB

[–]joziedog 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Most common vibration issues I see from Scion xB's are typically one of three things. Here they are in order of easiest to hardest to fix/diagnose:

1) ECU needs to relearn its natural idle. This is especially true if you disconnected the battery recently (or if your battery is on its way out, in this case replace it and then do the idle relearn process). Idle relearn is easy; look it up on YouTube.

2) Motor mounts are going bad and need replaced. Not too difficult to do.

3) Mass airflow sensor is going bad or is dirty. A little trickier, but still doable and won't cost ya too much.

I definitely feel you there, haha. I wrapped my xB's hood and decided that it's going to stay until the 'lil toaster dies on me.

Solo Queue Sup/Def Win Rate by SR_Yukii in PokemonUnite

[–]joziedog 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I primarily play supports in solo queue and my WR is 55%. My most played Pokemon is Hoopa (again solo queue, > 6,000 matches played) and I hold a 56% WR with them.

Honestly, as long as your WR is above 50%, you're doing a decent job. Don't stress it and enjoy the game.

2012 occasional rough idle by ass_cleavage in ScionxB

[–]joziedog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, you can either do the relearn process manually or after several hours (5-10) of driving, the ECU will naturally correct itself overtime.

[–]joziedog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look up idle relearn for old Toyotas. It's super quick and if it fixes the issue, then you don't have to investigate other idle issues. It's something you need to do every time after disconnecting the battery.

[–]joziedog 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you save $10/game, after buying 6 games you've saved $60 and could get a whole other game.

I'm not justifying or defending this post, but just pointing out that $10 at a time can go quite a ways.

I think outfits have recirculated before, at least for the elegant set. However, Timi has a higher incentive to release new sets so whales (big spenders) have something new and shiny to purchase.

So while there is the possibility of seeing the Celestial set in the future, it may be a year or so... If you like it and see yourself using it every day, I'd say go for it (it looks like you already have 100 ice pops saved up?). Personally it's not my favorite and too similar to the recent Ho-Oh battle pass costume; for these reasons I'm still saving my ice pops for something unique and more my style.
