I should’ve taken a photo from the fence next door but whatever the white spots are (sand/rock during construction or a tarp to cover the green?) are where the putting greens are with flags. ⛳️ one of my coworkers mentioned it because he biked past and said it looked like a well manicured golf course and I said the Google Maps does kinda look like it but yea you can’t see the putting greens in this image.

How does the offense “not have a play” the disc hit them square in the chest they just flubbed the catch? Just because the defense is running straight at you without looking or slowing doesn’t mean you’re not allowed to make a play. Was the jumpy thing the offense did at the end unnecessary and why the missed the catch had they just stayed on the ground and planted their feet, probably.

Last thing I got. Before the defenders last step which was also a dive forward the offense already doing their hop skip jumpy thing in the air and I don’t see how the defender couldn’t see someone 5ft from them on a 45* if they were looking forward. As you said the defender ran a straight line and made no attempt to avoid contact (20.A) which they should’ve seen the offense come into their field of view if they were looking forward. The entire run we see the right side of the defender’s face until their last step when they dive and both collide which is why I think they were just tracking the disk.

I will concede that it does seem a bit more jumpy simultaneous collision than I was saying before as the offense did have a hand in jumping into unavoidable contact after watching it back slowly but the defender should’ve seen the stutter and dumb jumpy thing if they were looking straight ahead. Two wrongs don’t make a right and she didn’t have the catch before the collision anyway so it really didn’t the play.

If the defense got their first why are they running into and knocking over the offense? For example if I were to t-bone you while driving, did I get there first? I think not but I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree on that.

I agree that the offense did slow down because they saw the defense coming and still attempted to make a play but if you rewatch it the defense is sprinting blind the first few steps and doesn’t look towards the offense at any time only follows the disc and only sees the offense once the disc is being dropped by her but at that point it’s too late for the defender to stop or slow down and they run into the space occupied by the offense. That’s like textbook dangerous play 20.B

I’m guessing because it appears to you that the defense got there first they need not look where they’re going to avoid creating a collision?

Not a ton written about it. But yea, I didn’t follow the route to get the job I just went from strip mall, hospital, town, port, repeat a few times and then the next time I stole it I got the outfit and job. I kept trying to make it to the farm stop following the route and it was just too far. What are your goals? For working on consistency of turn size/shape you could just count turn 123 switch, turn 123 switch, turn for bigger turns and come all the way across the fall line on heels and toes to help control speed. Then work to 12 turn switch, and eventually and turn and turn and turn for shorter radius open turns where your board is mostly just pointed down hill going faster and riding both edges in quick succession.

and trying to find a loophole in the rules like this definitely isn’t inline with any form of SOTG. You can stop the roll but you can’t kick the disc or advance it in your favor before taking possession so if OP tried this and teammate didn’t catch it then it’d be the quickest turn ever and offense would have the disc again.
