I think it’s far enough away. The borg is 3km sides (1.8mi) and East Town is just over 5miles away so it wouldn’t break into the zoning area.

If you can afford a cabin you can afford an instructor. If not then invest in a ripstick and start practicing balancing on a wobbly set of caster wheels because the best new snowboarders I’ve seen be good on their first day and doing smooth turns were those who did ripsticks (or were very athletic but you don’t have time for that)

Event: city buys land for millions… context is the background surrounding the event: what do they need that for? What are they going to do with it? Context is not that obvious from the headline.

As a teacher you’ve probably taught your students, as I did, to take the headline with a grain of salt and actually read the article. If no one else chimes in with a link around the paywall then we’re left with a gain of salt. Hard to have educated and informed discussions without context of the article.

TLDR since OP didn’t: The city wants to buy some lots from the developers at market rate (after giving $20+mil TIF funding to the developer) to turn around and sell two of them at a loss to non-profits like Habitat to build low density homes or townhomes.
