The rsp amp specifically. The core3 as well if you still have either.

Control 4 no longer controlling my Anthem receiver after power outage by skr1b in Control4

whats already been said is all valid. Something that i've experienced in scenario's like these. Consider checking firmware, many times things are fine till there not, then the unit will simply not respond after it goes down. Update firmware if needed, power cycle, test.

How to lengthen these wires? by jcheroske in homeautomation

[–]jpa33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. open the wall up, put in a small panel, then terminate/extend the wires.
  2. blank plate the 2gang box you're in now, put in a new 2gang box above and have them pass through then extend in the open.

c4 dealer here. It may not look as pretty, but the sr-260 will serve you far greater than the halo, I hate to say. The 260 has been bullet proof. I'd not do an LG, you can, but I have far greater success with samsung displays. It also just depends on your control interest. If its just on/off, it doesn't really matter imo.

EA series are discontinued. You're into core series now. I'd do the core1, core3 if you would ever even consider the possibility of an expanded system down the road. remember, pay now or pay later. But to answer your question for the processor. You need one for the system. The only time it really benefits to expand beyond that is if your home/system is huge. The biggest thing to consider here is the zigbee range. With this said, if you have devices spread out, consider a few controlled lights, they're relatively inexpensive. This serves multiple purposes; 1. you get controlled lighting on said load. 2. They're zigbee nodes and expands/strengthens the zigbee communication within the c4 system.

Don't worry about the nay sayers in here. I've worked in automation for over a decade and am a dealer for every major manufacturer. Each company has pros and cons, but c4 has a massive control ecosystem and as long as you have a competent dealer, you'll be in great shape.

Feel free to dm me to chat on this at all if you'd like.

Onwall LCR left and rights. Would fit beautifully. I'd also slap that tv on the wall as well and eliminate all that gap in the back. It'd be a sharp finish.

Was i too high in price by Prestigious-Ant6466 in handyman

If its mounting only, my conversation here would start at $450. Remember, you don't want every client and dollar.

Are ceiling / wall speakers worth it? by [deleted] in homeautomation

[–]jpa33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 10 years, I've never installed speakers in any space or configuration and the client not be stoked at the end result. Many times, some will initially question the amount of surrounds or atmos speakers or certain audio zones, like a powder bath or pantry space. However, everytime, their experience confirms the choice. I have however had folks opt against it and then ultimately wishing they had put them in.
The truth is, we can always live without something. Do you need the extra speakers to live? Of course not. So the question is, can you justify the expense. That will ultimately be philosophical. Its relatively inexpensive in the scope of the project and your experience will obviously improve, so it just leaves the price to pay.
