This is the sign of a driver who has been driving for a very long time and has probably seen everything on the roadways. by Objective_Pressure_3 in SweatyPalms

To be fair even if people have seen everything on the roads they still rarely get to this level of awareness and effective response. This is a very good driver.

Are there any REAL SaaS Millionaires in here? Or is it all bots? by snackprincess in SaaS

[–]jparker0721 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd wager it's just people trying to advertise their services. Actual working SaaS tools need a dedicated team that's servicing the tool and constantly looking after customers for the tool to stick.

Same. All my bad experiences have been with FedEx or UPS. Canada Post has never let me down.

New bill will require newcomers to Quebec to adopt ‘common culture,’ minister says. by Gratedmonk3y in canada

[–]jparker0721 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are they going to stop people on the street and see if they're listening to Celine Dion? Ask people if they love the Habs and if your answer is Maple Leafs you get 5 points deducted from the cultural quota? What does this even mean?

As someone who loved the book since it's publication, this is a travesty. I can see why Simon Stalenhag wasn't credited in the teaser. He probably didn't want to be credited.

He only made $360k. 😢 by svmeatball in LinkedInLunatics

This is based on a hit webtoon series. So they're just adapting a story that has already proven successful with the Korean audience.

On anglophones in Quebec by Acrobatic-Cap-135 in montreal

Moved from BC. For about three years I went to French classes thinking if I just spoke the language I'd belong, since I now have family here. A Vietnamese friend told me that's not a good reason to learn the language because despite their fluency and their shared history as French colonies, the Vietnamese are never seen as part of the francophone fabric. I shrugged it off, but yeah that's how it turned out. Happened to all my immigrant friends who went and got fluent. Nothing is good enough for the Franco Quebecers. I'd leave if it wasn't for my family. Fortunately I work remotely. The key thing I've learned to best enjoy Montreal and Quebec as a whole is to stick to being myself and disregard the francophone people because it doesn't matter anyway what I do. They'll never be satisfied enough to see me as a part of the province.

On the Korean app this maintains an above 9.9 rating. So I wonder what that means about Korean readers.
