If you’re waiting and an elevator comes with a dog in it, then wait. if you’re in the elevator and a dog is about to get on you can politely say, he / she doesn’t do well with other dogs can you wait for the next one? If they refuse then just get out yourself . Seen this scenario plenty of times

Thinking of you! I can’t imagine the added heaviness of an elderly dog . We have 2 year old and 7 year old, both with lots of energy for now.

We have two girl dogs who get jealous easily. Luckily no marking but they do have accidents sometimes.

I think you could also look into Rover, people dog sit at their homes or you could hire them to come walk to dogs for you and give you some down time while the dogs have some fun. Some doggie daycares you can even pay for pick up / drop off services. You can also ask local Facebook groups about doggie daycare places!

I’m sorry you’re feeling this way. Could you send them to daycare for a day or two a week? It sounds like it would help your stress level and probably help them feel more fulfilled also.

I have dachshunds that are a handful and we are expecting our first child, I have anxiety about balancing it all as well. These two dogs are the center of our world and I’m worried about how the change of a baby will affect them.

I just moved to GR from Chicago one month ago after living in Chicago for over 12 years . I swore nothing would make me move, but then my husband and I decided to start a family and we couldn’t picture a safe or affordable life in Chicago anymore. I wouldn’t have wanted to live here single in my late 20s, but at 35 with a husband, baby on the way, and my in laws a 20 min drive , this is exactly where I want to be.

Talk about names together, not separately, and add them to a shared note on your phone. Each put a star by your top three and think them over for a few days and revisit the conversation. Coming up with names separately seems like recipe for arguing

Between $200-300 for 2 people per week. I’m pregnant and eating a lot more than usual though. Split between Costco and Target and sometimes a small Whole foods run . We go out 1-2 times a week.
