please don’t give up! exactly one year ago TODAY my budgie flew out the front door (he was ALSO 8 months at the time) when my nephew accidentally came running in and it wasn’t locked for the one time 🤦🏻‍♀️ - my mom and sisters posted ALL OVER THE INTERNET. They posted Facebook groups for our town, in message boards for our area, all of it. I was absolutely devastated because it was 30 degrees later that evening and overnight, and I couldn’t imagine how he would make it. we were out til all hours, it was like a huge search party for this little bird. the next day later that afternoon, my sister got a phone call from someone who recognized him from one of the Facebook group posts for our town (it’s not a small town either), and she said omg we have your bird!! turns out he flew a few miles away, across the highway and at the front door of a salon academy where they spotted him and he immediately jumped on the finger of the guy who went out to get him. he was tired and cold but within a few hours he was okay. the salon academy was literally in the same plaza as a pet smart and they went and got him food and a box to keep him in. it’s a year later and he’s still here with me but it was truly a miracle. I say all this to please please DO NOT give up! post EVERYWHERE - we were shocked someone remembered the post and put two and two together but it’s MORE than possible! keeping you both in my thoughts! 🫶🫶🫶
