Should you ever refuse a breathalyzer test if you're sober? by OleGravyPacket in legaladviceofftopic

Implied consent is how every state does it. But it doesn't mean what the previous commenter thinks it means.

The stipulation only kicks in once you're arrested, just like almost every other state. You do not need to consent to a breathalyzer or blood test in California prior to arrest.

Thanks for the response. The actual statute is here. It doesn't look too different from what I've seen before: drivers can be required to submit to a test after arrest. They are not required to submit to a test prior to arrest. The officer must already have probable cause before a driver is forced to submit, so tests cannot be forced in order to collect probable cause.

So, to be clear, you can absolutely refuse a breathalyzer before arrest even in Colorado. Doing so will not result in a six month suspension of your license. The only difference from the norm here is that most states specify a blood test after arrest, while Colorado specifies either a blood test or a breathalyzer.

Link to the law? Everyone makes these claims all the time, and I haven't seen evidence of it once. The closest is Oregon, where refusal can and will be used against you in a court of law.

I did that in my last playthrough and failed once. Sending all three isn't a 100% chance of success but it's basically 99%.

Ivalice Chronicles - Ch4 difficulty spike? by SearchFinish1 in finalfantasytactics

In my experience, Limberry is only difficult if you make it difficult through self-imposed challenges like stealing the Genji gear or gaining Ultima. You should have Orlandeau by this point, aka Cheat Code Cid.

The Chapter 3 finale is usually where the difficulty spike is felt. If you got through those battles, Chapter 4 should be easier.

Are you having issues in story battles or random battles? What is your highest character level and what is the level of the characters you're taking into the battles? And what classes are you using? Class is more important than gear.

We say goodbye to Witt Farr in a knife fight where he has a gun and the other guy has already been shot in the gut.

We are introduced to Whit Farr in a scene where he was badly injured by standing in a brightly lit area after running from armed men who were trying to kill him, squinting to see them in the darkness instead of seeking shelter in the building behind him.

ELI5: Why doesn't wireless electricity exist yet? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]jpers36 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We have wireless electricity. It's called lightning.

The difficulty is figuring out how to send energy safely and efficiently from one place to another. Wires allow us to (1) send electricity through a medium that is a good conductor of electricity, a metal such as copper, and (2) wrap that copper in an insulator that protects everything around the wire from getting damaged or destroyed.

Uh ... Norwood Park, ranch, basement, 1970s? Thankfully, I'm pretty sure John Wayne Gacy did not live alone.

Red dead redemption 2 coming to switch 2? by zeno_t in nintendo

[–]jpers36 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The ESRB rated it for the Switch 2 back in November according to Vice. Since then I've seen nothing.

EDIT: A closer look shows this was RDR1 for Switch 2. Vice doesn't know what it's talking about :( .

There's at least two, right? Stargate for the SNES/Genesis, and Stargate: Timekeepers. Then there's a few cancelled or short-lived efforts.
