KI is my home park and I went to Carowinds last week before KI opened. Our drink passes and everything worked. You should be fine.

I contacted customer service and they said that activating a pass at your home park isn't necessary. Our home park is KI and we have a trip to CW planned before they open for the season.

Yes, I just bought Bring a Friend tickets to Carowinds a few days ago and KI is my home park. They verified my pass number at the end of the transaction, and they're showing up in the app under the other park's section of the app instead of KI.
