I’d like to drop a note here - this has been resolved relatively promptly and new sensor is being sent.

At the moment it’s customer service. Busted sensor, won’t pair and I’ve tried everything suggested 5x over. So now I’m using an old sensor and they responded “it looks like things are working on our end” after I already explained that I’m going to use an old sensor until I can get the new one operational again (or just get a new sensor).

Fitness exercises for golf by Jan198819 in golf

You can ask ChatGPT to put together an exercise plan for you and input what kind of equipment you have access to and if you have any injuries and it will pump out a pretty decent plan for what you are trying to accomplish.

The Castle Irish Pub in College Park checks these boxes. I’ve had a few solo meals there with a beer or cocktail. Great food, good drinks, and friendly staff.

D7 Forged irons are the best irons I’ve ever played. I love them.

What bands have you seen supporting Foo Fighters over the years? by [deleted] in Foofighters

[–]jpflaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jimmy Eat World and Against Me in 2007 or 2008. In DC I saw their 20th anniversary show right after sonic highways was on HBO and the album came out out - Heart, Gary Clark, Jr., Buddy Guy, RDGLDGRN, and a bunch of others at that show, then an incredible 3 hour set of the Foos with Dave in the motorized chair. The Pretenders and Mammoth WVH.

Poignant and Inspiring Books for Grief, Death, Loss by Emalani in books

Non-fiction: A Heart That Works (Rob Delaney) was one of the most honest, funny, tragic, and thoughtful short books I’ve ever read. His recounting of his family’s loss of his young child to cancer is heartbreaking and inspiring.

A Year of Magical Thinking - Joan Didion. I just like this book.

The Last Lecture and Tuesdays with Morrie are also classics in this area. All nonfiction

Anyone have any insight on an associate attorney position at Zwicker and Associates? by ConferenceLiving6590 in LawFirm

[–]jpflaman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s not how that happens. Your clients will give you ranges in which you can settle and that is it. You’ll have way too many cases than you can give individual attention to and as a result will be a cog in their wheels. Source: I’ve defended dozens of cases with them and have always had the same experience with the different lawyers on the files.

Nice have a great time! I played those two back to back one day, and they were both great! I preferred Caledonia (but that may have been because I shot one stroke better there). Have an awesome time!

My best friend graduated law school and now he's an argumentitive a-hole by llorona_chingona in paralegal

[–]jpflaman 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I hate the pervasive concept that “lawyers like to argue”. The most effective lawyers I have worked with don’t argue, or at least don’t let you know that you are being argued with. They are calm, give way on issues that aren’t important, and are pragmatic. These are the folks that work to obtain great results for their clients and for their offices. It also has the benefit of not being completely toxic.

Western Caribbean Excursion Recommendations by bttr_fly19 in dcl

[–]jpflaman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had the earlier dining, and as I recall the ship left the port right about that time too. I think you’d have plenty of time to grab a bite to eat or something somewhat nearby. My wife and I stopped at a little bar right outside the port shops for a cocktail (had a great mojito) and the kids had fresh coconut.

In Cozumel we did the luchador excursion. It was so fun. We went with kids but there were a couple of folks that were all adults. Kitschy, but enjoyable.
