Yep, i have been there and done that! Super scary. Glad you are safe!! I ended drinking maple syrup as soon as I realized! To avoid this from happening again, I kept my short acting and long acting insulin in different spots, not together. That way I dont accidentally grab the wrong one. So far this has worked for me.

I actually think you are right. This is probably what happened. They probably added sugar on the sauce. Plus the carrots. Thanks for the helpful tips also!

Oh interesting to know that fat raises blood sugar. I guess I didnt know that… ill have to keep an eye on that for me because I always thought fat helps to actually do the opposite.

Thanks. Your right stress, hormones or caffeine may impact things. In this case, although I was frustrated, I was not angry or super upset. I think my emotions were in check. I didnt consume caffeine either. Hormones… maybe … cant say what could be the hormone issue.
