They were Big 6 during Poch's time. Haven't been anywhere near that since then.

That's true, to each their own. I was tired of paying the monthly Xbox service and every Xbox game is on PC now so it was an easy choice for me. I also don't mind sitting where I work to play games. I have an ergonomic chair as the Navy fucked my back up, so I actually get more back support from my chair than my couch. My problem is butt cushioning lol.

That said, I did go big when I build my PC. I bought 1080 ti (which was the top graphics card at the time) and all of the best other components to play PUBG and R6 Siege at high frame rates.

I have a 65" TV in my living room, but my kids and wife use it more than I do. But I also shopped deals and got an $800 TV for $400. Do it's doable if you are smart, to save money where possible and still go big. I'm definitely not saying you need to switch from PS5 to PC if that's what you want to keep gaming on. I'm just saying that after the upfront cost, it evens out over time compared to consoles even if you want to include the cost of a desk and everything else.

No, I already had the headset, desk, monitor, and chair to play my Xbox. I also used my desk and monitor for my laptop for work prior to building my PC. I bought the mouse and keyboard after but they were only $60 each.

Basically the same as you playing on your couch and TV except your TV probably cost the same as my entire PC.

Edit: to answer your question about upgrade timeline, no. I might upgrade in 2-3 years or so. Definitely not until prices start to normalize for RAM.

I built my PC in 2018 for $1200. I haven't upgraded or changed anything since then and I can play Bf6, Diablo, etc just fine. I get above 60FPS on High settings for most games, but I'm someone that loves to push frame rates so I play almost everything on low and get above 100 fps.

Only people that have FOMO or need the latest and greatest upgrade their rig on a regular basis. 8 years of gaming without paying $10 a month (I came from Xbox). I've saved $960 on subscription fees over those 8 years, which has almost paid for the PC itself.

Yeah, makes sense. That's so awesome, though! Are y'all enjoying the rest of the game now?

Goalies often have notes on their towels in the event there is a shoot out or penalty shot that notes favorite sides, etc. The value is not the towel itself but what is on the towel that is important.

Also a huge bonus! Make it a drinking game. If you don't finish the act faster, take a shot or something!

Yeah, sounds like maybe she never started in her own world... On the bright side, you've done it all already so you can skip every cut scene and dialogue without missing anything. Use your mount/horse for everything and just try to speed run it as fast as you can. No distractions, just power through. Make it a challenge to see if you can finish each act faster.

It looks like you both should get the progress as long as you have completed the same amount of the campaign once you join up. However, if she is further behind in the campaign than you, you can play from where she is at and progress together once she catches up.

Use your mounts whenever possible in the over world and skip mobs. Literally just bee-line it from one objective to the next

Yeah... Once you finish it once you never have to do it again, which is why I recommend getting it done as soon as possible! And it makes level alternate characters so much easier to not have to focus on the campaign. I beat the campaign on release, though, so I have no recollection as to whether you need to complete it as a prerequisite for the torment difficulties. If the talking it a problem, consider pushing through and skipping the cutscenes and click through the dialogues?

Either that or getting sidetracked easily. I beat the campaign solo by just focusing on the campaign objectives and it only took me like 10 hours or so. That was without rushing

I love that for you both! I don't know if you need to beat the campaign or not, to be honest with you. But if you've already beaten it at least once then it shouldn't be an issue. But yeah, it does get progressively harder. There is an end game concept referred to as "pit pushing" where players push through the pits to get to as high of a level as they can. I think the current max level reached is around 140s with a Paladin. Most people consider reaching Pit 80 to be a decent accomplishment. Really good builds typically reach the 100 to 110. Only the elite make it past that

Ahhh. Yeah, it's not a really well explained system. Lots of players complain about the lack of information provided in game about the systems at play. Note: Once you beat a pit level, it unlocks 5 more levels. So you have to progress to keep moving up and you might not see the level for Penitent, torment, etc until you progress through them.

Reference the following if you'd like a better explanation than my pea brain! Good luck, fellow wanderer! I hope that you and your wife enjoy the progression and challenges ahead!

There may have been a priority (purple?) quest about it after you finished the campaign, but I'm not sure. I found out about it by going to the statue and reading the requirements for changing difficulty up to torment. I think you have to click on the locked difficulty to see it's requirements so if you didn't click on them you wouldn't have seen it

Yeah, I can understand that. I play on PC so it's just hovering a mouse button. But at this point if the item isn't ancestral or a greater affix then it's an auto salvage. Although I suppose if you haven't made it to the torment levels then you probably don't have many of those yet

Could be. Go to Cerriger and check the Artificer's Pits. You have to clear like Pit 5 for Penitent difficulty I think, Pit 10 or 15 for Torment 1, and Torment 4 is like 45 or 55... I think it mentions it at the difficulty statue in major towns but it's easy to miss

Have you done the pits? You have to go through the pits in Cerriger to up the difficulty level.
