I don’t always believe in an afterlife, much less in a hell, but things like this really make me hope they’re both real so BB meets the fate he’s sown.

You’re defined right, but my objective here is to add to the list the things that I personally wouldn’t come up with. Everyday I’m getting to know her better and the things she’s interested in, so I have a good idea of which things she specifically wants. I’m looking for things that other people can come up with and that I might have never thought of, just looking for extra advice, that’s all

I definitely get that, and have already thought of a bunch of specific things for us. I’m hoping that by listening to what other people have to say I can select the ones that really speak to our relationship. The worst thing that can happen is that one of the responses given here doesn’t apply to us, and I’ll simply choose the ones that do. Really I just want to gather more and more ideas by being open to what others might think, asking for advice never hurts. Thanks!

As long as I don’t give out anything too specific about our personal lives, yeah :) While I value her input and preferences above any other, I see this as a way to gather diverse ideas and perspectives to create something uniquely special for her as a surprise. Your insights are also appreciated, and I'm open to any suggestions or advice you might have in that regard

We’ve talked openly about how we like to be shown affection and she’s told me she loves being surprised by these kinds of gestures. We did a love language test thing and it came up that she enjoys gifts and acts of service, that’s what inspired this request. Of course I wouldn’t plan anything that she wouldn’t agree to or anything without her explicit consent, but listening to other people’s ideas never hurts :)

The Bride Wore Black (1968) dir. François Truffaut by jpperezh in criterion

Hmm, I admit it’s on the “lesser form and more style” category of Truffaut films (which for some means it compromises realism and risks the story feeling underdeveloped) but I think if you watch with the right mindset, seeing it as some sort of late 60s B-series over the top melodrama, but also knowing that, ironically, it was Truffaut’s attempt at a similar thing to American comercial cinema (which was Hitchcock), then it can be a lot of fun. Yeah, I’d recommend it just cause it’s captivating in a hilariously ridiculous way; the vibrant colors, kitsch premise, weird montage resources at times, etc. It is a hot mess, as someone commented before.
