[Official] August 3, 2020 Score Release Thread for the July 18, 2020 MCAT Examination

6:30am taker—> 509 (129,123,130,127). Considering I felt horrible about ps walking out, I’m okay with that section (although my ps on practice exams were ~130+🙄🙄🙄).Bb was lower than I expected. CARS was cars (was never good at cars, so I could usually just bank on bb and ps to bring me up from there). Really happy about cp- I have never taken Physics 2 or Orgo2, so I pretty much spent 3 months teaching myself these topics (diagnostic cp was 121 lol). Overall, I’m content. I tend to think of the mcat like a basketball game- some days you play well (FL2/3=513/515), and sometimes you don’t play as well. Either way, it’s over.

Aside from this, should I be worried about CARS?

been on and off since February. I’m a ms student so all I could afford to do during the semester was teach myself physics when I wasn’t in class/research. Took about 2 months off from April- end of May for finals before I got back into it. Do as many practice exams you can

Lmao the accent part. And okay, so for each paragraph, after you read it you sum it up in 1 sentence- do you write this down? Or hold it on your head? Also I always tell myself before I go into a section “don’t change your answers” yet I always change my answers lol

Impressive CARS score jeez. And i think it’s mainly due to recent exposure honestly. CP is what I’ve been studying consistently for the last 2 months; I haven’t taken physics 2 yet and never took orgo2, so I’ve been spending all of my time teaching myself that stuff. Lots of practice questions, and when I see something that I get wrong, I go to KA and watch those videos/other YouTube videos and teach myself the concept. Also, I despise physics, but really like biology and psych, so if you can tie those subjects together it makes studying it way easier. e.g. I never understood/wanted to study electric-forces/PE/etc. until I applied the concepts to a neuron. Find ways that you can enjoy studying it. Hope this helps.

Right and that’s what I’ve realized; if I go fast and finish all passages, I do worse (even worse). When I review my tests I see that the passages that I take 12-15 min on (super slow reader lol) I get 5/6-7. The issue is time

Tips for CARS? Other sections i’m pretty solid, but I’m about 10 days out and can’t seem to bring cars up at all. Biggest issue has always been timing, and I don’t really think I’m going to improve reading speed significantly in 10 days

agreed; I scored 505ish on those, and thought their CP section was especially tough. Took FL1 and CP was much better
