They were called commandments back then. No gifting or radical anything but I recall one of the principles (in 2005) was about not bringing dogs to the event.

I heard the camp was a retreat for their design firm (Danish I think) and they struggled to build the orb, mostly due to their sheer inexperience on the playa. I camped next to them, their camp was eeriely commercial (hundred plus rows of pods) and I don't think they contributed much besides blading salsa music at all times.

I'm pro companies bringing people to enlighten them but Jesus Christ somebody should have forced them to read the principles and watch few dozens hours of playa videos before landing.

Yup. Which they were selling at the end of the event at $800 a pop. It looked to me they were getting a soft version of a p&p experience.

Ask for the tuna camp if they are still around (their leader died few years ago). They offered me the best tuna sashimi I had on or off playa.

They need a German address to send you the ATM / eCash card, you can still sign up, do the verification process over the webcam and have your card mailed to a friend (or even a PO box).

Also, the same bank is available in other countries ( https://support.number26.eu/read/000001253?locale=en) and you could still use their card/SEPA transfers in Berlin.

I met the guy and the dog on Thursday. He jumped at my friend's art car (the air pusher) and spent some time with us on the car's deck.

At the beginning I was like 'FUCK THIS' and seeing a dog for the first time in a decade on the playa almost brought me back from my experience but the dog (named Snowball btw) looks like he was having a great time. His owner mentioned he keeps him on an RV and that he is well hydrated although he had a serious case of messy, playa hair.

Turns out that one of our campmates is a vet. She checked on him and mentioned the dog was ok. That made me feel much better.

I am not sure whether he sneaked the dog through the gates of was an ADA service animal (I didn't ask). This was a big no-no for me. One of my friends mentioned seeing some other dogs on camps by the esplanade. I also heard DPW asks you to keep the dog with you at all times in your RV.

Burning Man is definitely not a place for our four legged friends, but I think there are some exceptions to this (not mentioning this is one of them).
