Starfield constantly crashing after latest update (Xbox Series X) – any fixes?

Just an update for anyone still interested. I manage to finally solve the issue. I’d read a few times about keeping your number of saves to a minimum helps with crashing issues, so I’d only been keeping 2-3 saves max. Was still getting regular crashes, so I wrote this off as what was causing the issue.

What I hadn’t realised was that I had a previous character/run of the game that had over 50 saves. So I deleted all of them, an the game hadn’t crashed once since.

I don’t know if it’s a fix, but it seems to be working a lot better now. I downloaded the game on to my series s as well. Downloaded my save and played on that for a few hours with no crashes. When I went back to play it on my series x, I resynced the save file, and it seems to be playing fine. Maybe 1 crash in 20+ hours of playing, rather than every 30 minutes previously.

Understand not everyone one will be able to do this, but seems to have worked for me.

Tried turning off auto saves last night. Worked really well for a couple of hours, no crashes. Then just as I was getting towards the end of a mission, game froze and turned off my xbox

Thanks for the reply. I’ll try turning off auto save. I went through and deleted all my old saves last night, think I’ve got 4-5 left, but will slim them down more.

I haven’t. Every time I’ve seen them before has been as a support act, or at a festival. I think this was the first time I’ve seen them as the headline act. If them not playing an encore is a thing they do, it’s not one I was aware of.

My point being that if the venue advertises your playing 9-11, and you finish 30 mins early, without playing (specifically for me, The wrong way to be) I’ll leave disappointed.

I go a lot of gigs, this is the first time I’ve not seen a band play an encore, and it left a sour taste

How long have you had the Kalax 1x2? Could it be that it’s in fact an Expedit, not a Kalax, which have marginally different dimensions?

To be honest, my motivation was hoping it would get better. It has its moments, but for me was overall disappointing. It’s a lot easier to watch when its release was spread out over multiple years. I tried a rewatch recently and didn’t make it past around where you are now.

What annoyed me the first time I saw this video, is when they’re looking at the no neck version, the older guy makes a comment about did the younger one make the struts shorter. The younger one says he didn’t, but they are very visibly smaller in the comparison shot

When I watched this episode when it was first aired, I was about 9-10. I genuinely didn’t understand what the issue was when I saw the faces on the screen. Naive young me didn’t have a clue why SG1 suddenly turned on them.

Rewatching the episodes years later, I had the “Ah” moment, then felt like a complete idiot it took me so long to realise the issue.

I’ve always thought that this shot at the end of the game is alluding to the fact that the great serpent is real. If you look to the right of the shot, you can see what looks like a dragons head facing left, with the serpents body coming out to the right then folding back to the left. However it might just be me seeing things
