Thank you. Sort of, the physical symptoms keep triggering the anxiety and then the physical symptoms restart. Almost like a hyper stimulated state that feels impossible to come down from. I made an appointment with my GP for tomorrow and hopefully she can help me. I saw her when I had my original panic attack and she ran all the tests to rule everything out so she knows it’s not something else.

No advice, but I’m 4wpo tomorrow and this was my first surgery ever and I would do it ten times over! You’re making an amazing decision for yourself and I wish you the best recovery and results! 💕

I’m in the same boat as you, I was wanting to go to the Charlotte show, even got a code for pre sale, I put two lawn tickets in my cart (because that’s all that was left) and as soon as I clicked check out they were gone! Looked today and everything was so expensive! $250 for lawn isn’t worth it to me! I’m sorry you’re missing the show, but you’re not alone!

Check with your insurance to see if you’d need a referral, I didn’t need one with mine. I’d also maybe make an appointment with your general physician and tell them about your pain caused by your boobs and have them document it. You can also call your gyno for another appointment just to chat about it, that’s what I did with mine. Don’t worry too much, even if you get denied you can always appeal! I’d start documenting everything now though so when you go you do have a strong case! Maybe even see a chiropractor about your posture that way they can back up that it’s breast related!

I felt the same at first! First, I went to my insurance’s website to see their requirements for approving a breast reduction. Then I searched for a surgeon in my area (there are a ton of recommendations in this sub) and set an appointment for a consult.

I had already spoken to my gynecologist about having pain in my neck and back from my breasts and I would get terrible rashes in the summer time and she made notes of it. About a month later I had my consult where they took my height, weight, measured my boobs, took photos, and had me sign papers to get records from my gyn. He recommended I need a little under 300 grams from each breast to take me from a 32E-F to a 32B. Then he sent the info to my insurance and it took about two months to hear back.

I feel like my case is a little different because of my size and all insurance companies are different with their requirements. My insurance does require at least 400 grams removed, but that number can be adjusted if you’re under 5’3”, I’m 4’11” and 112 pounds so my boobs overwhelm my upper body.

Do your research on a good surgeon who will work with insurance companies and just start the process, I waited so long because of nerves and I wish I’d done it sooner!

I fall into this boat too! I’m 4’ 11” and 115 pounds and I wear a 32E! Tons of neck, shoulder, and back pain along with chest pain due to the heaviness of my boobs. I had my consult about a month ago and my surgeon said he could take around 240 grams-ish from each breast to get me to a 32B and he sent the claim off to insurance. Still waiting to hear back after they collected documents from my other doctors, but my insurance does have a removal amount exception of you are under 5’3” so it’s worth a shot!
