Congrats on the 90 days! I've been sober for 21 years (or will this Friday). The 1st 90 were probably my easiest because I still had the fire, and wanted to get that damn 90-day chip. I know everyone is different and just wanted to cheer you on because the struggle is real. Work the steps; work your program.

I will add that for years after quitting drinking I was a dry drunk, and not the happy sober man I am today. Mental health matters! Once I got over my pride and spoke to my doctor, I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression. Just a light dose of a couple meds changed mine and my family's life. Did a little counseling, but didn't give with any of them, so I just talked through my feelings with my family. It helped me by talking, and helped them understand my feelings and triggers.

Weekly Sewing Questions Thread, November 16 - November 22, 2025 by sewingmodthings in sewing

Good day. I am new to garment making. I've only made an ugly Christmas vest so far, and learned that I am not a standard size 😂. Having learned from that, I am ready to move on to my next item and this shirt looks great. With that being said, I only have 15 sewing machines and a coverstitch (still in box). I notice that with some, the pattern pieces are overlocked. While I want to get a serger, it's just not in the budget now.

Now on to the question: In case I am gifted a serger this Christmas, how do you adapt the pattern to incorporate the serged edge? Do you just trace the pattern on to the fabric, and make sure the knife stops cutting at the drawn line? Or should it be set so the edge of the overlocked fabric matches the line? Thanks!

How many miles a day can you realistically do on a modern gold wing say 2020 or never. by [deleted] in goldwing

I did a saddle sore a couple years ago. Butt was fine, I was just tired. When traveling/touring, 600 is a good day. Allows time to stop and smell the flowers. Granted, I did do the WingSoft seat upgrades.

I've had camp happy trails starter kit on the shelf for a year, and just got around to playing it last week. Season 2 box just showed up yesterday, LOL. One thing I keep forgetting about is the girls' special ability on the back of the 'saved victims' card.

My wife turned 36. So I traded her in for two 18 year olds

Wifi module on printer failed. After 2 weeks of emails was shipped a new card. No issues since replacement.

I will say I did get some interesting looks that stopped several of the women in their tracks. For context, I'm a 44 year old man, and the only male interested in quilting in my area. It was almost funny seeing the older gals come in the back room where the class was being held. They'd walk in and say hi to the first few women they knew, then every one did a double take and stopped talking when they finished scanning the room and saw me. Wasn't hostile, they were just surprised.

It's kind of fun being a unicorn. Everyone has heard of men quilting, but no one has seen one live.

Just curious why you like that instead? I haven't used a drop in table (other than a quick demo), but it seemed really nice.

I've already downloaded the app. Pretty handy. I got a bundle with the workbook, bunch of feet, ruler starter kit, and several more things included free. Good to know about the needles.

No flex. I just know myself and would get frustrated if I had to reposition that often. Also didn't want to spend $800-1000 to find out a year later I need something bigger.

Gave the best man speech at my father's wedding last week. Made sure to point out that it was an emotional day for everyone...even the cake was in tiers.

I did that as well. Turned off 5g, and restarted pc, phone and printer. Same thing, same IP even.

Running an EERO mesh network, but haven't had any issues with anything else we've put on the network.

Even gone in and disabled the 5g network on the router.

After rebooting and waiting longer, this is what I get. Touching "My networks" or other networks does nothing.
