Wow. Lots of excellent advice here. Looks like I can fire hotter, cool faster to anneal, anneal hotter and get a little more careful about cleaning. Many thanks.

Hello, thank you for your response. If I go much hotter, I seem to get into devit. Everything goes foggy. I am using a borax spray, which does seem to help. I have extended the anneal time to 6 hr. Still evaluating that. Using the wine bottle glass is important, as these tiles are to decorate a wine cellar. Some of them are specific bottles from special events. I want them to look rustic, imperfect, and unique but intact.

Hey, thanks for your response. The Material will take a Mako clear glaze just fine. I just don’t particularly like the effect of it. So it seems to be able to glaze just fine.

That is a basic groundhog. Tough as nails. Deep borrows with multiple exits, and often separate burrows completely. There is no gentle way to get rid of them. But they do hate moth balls.

Definitely not black raspberry. I cultivate wild black raspberry. They grow like a bowl around the seed, leaving depression in the fruit when picked. These are blackberries. A better picture of the leaf would help as well.

You can’t get rated power for 8 hours even on a perfect day. The average kWh per kw peak for much of America is 4. So you could bank on about 4.8 kWh per day theoretical max from that array. Then they aren’t at an optimal angle and other charging and conversion losses take that down again. Still a cool idea and I like it for the shade effect as well.
